Anyway here's the trick I'm trying....
Frontside ollies on mini ramp. Any ideas?

Go faster.
If you want to know how fast or how high, you'll know when you make people scream or curse.
Study the masters in slow motion. Don't just pay attention to foot placement but also weight distribution and most of all timing.

i love doing frontside ollies on tranny. its all about confidence for the most part tho. you know what to do you just arent letting yourself do it. the only "tip" i could give you is to use your shoulders as somewhat of a guide (line them up with your bolts as you do the ollie motion) and dont look at anything other than your board until you're about to land. youll psyche yourself out if you focus on how much air you're catching instead of how level your ollie is.
