The film has been heavily criticised by US politicians. The Republican Party of Texas has described the subject matter as "shocking" and "disgusting".[3] Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) has said, "I think it's despicable... I think it's absolutely outrageous. That anyone would even attempt to profit on such a horrible scenario makes me sick."[4]

The White House has declined to comment on the film.

Regal Entertainment Group, which operates 6,273 screens in 584 locations in 40 U.S. states and Cinemark USA, which operates about 2,500 screens theatres in 34 U.S. states, have said they will not screen the film.[5]

See, this right here is why Hillary Clinton sucks. Your supposed to be the opposition. That asshole needs two bullets between his eyes, and if we should get so lucky, she should be dancing on the streets with us. She obviously does not care about America or politics if the idea of Bush dead isn't atleast slightly positive in her mind.

I don't understand the reaction over it, personally. It's rather tame.

I especially don't understand the Republicans getting upset, the whole first twenty minutes of the film is interviews with people saying how wonderful Bush is.

bush getting assassinated is the worst possible thing that could happen, because you kno he would become a hero in death.

No, the reason why she sucks is that she doesn't understand that probably most of the movies she watches profit off of similar "horrible scenarios." Tons of movies have people being murdered, and just because the person getting killed in this movie is the president is it really that different? It's not like the movie is telling you to kill the president, it's just a fictional story. I guess since it is the president getting killed that makes it "unpatriotic" and "anti-american"...

Dead on.

They premiered the film at the Toronto Film Fest. This one was more of glancing at the cover and going, "Cooooooooooooooooool!", then paying to see Borat.

Pretty much anything in my eyes warrants a "cooooooooooooool" and then paying to see Borat.

anti-bush movie? all you know about it is that the president was shot. how do you know the rest of the movie isn't about how america goes to shit afterwards?

answer: deep down everyone knows he's a rich cocksucker that had everything undeservedly handed to him some are just too afraid to admit to themselves that they voted for him. twice.

as for bush becoming a martyr: word. i mean there's no other reason why mckinley and garfield would be on all those greatest presidents list if they weren't assasinated. oh wait...

I was into it...thought how it was awesome how they crafted all the original footage to make it into a story.
I'll admit I lost interest about 3/4 through...I won't spoil why.

So ummm, why are Bush and Cheney acting and reading lines in this movie?  What did I miss?

well-edited and well-placed footage from original speeches by bush and cheney made up all their "lines" in the film.

Some did, but the worship went through the roof when that cocksucker finally bit it.
