So I'm riding a low pro right now, but I would like try out other decks.
Noticed that Slave is built by the same people who make Real decks, but without the R1 contruction or the low pro construction.
Are they good? Is there any huge differences between Slave and other companies made by bareback?
-
if you get a slave over 8.1 your nose will be a shovel nose or if you like lowpros flathead decks would your best choice i have rode a few slaves and this is what i have found out but i usually ride a 7.875 or an 8 but for my tranny board i ride an 8.25
-
skated a few $lave decks, most over 8 and never really noticed a shovel nose.
some were squarish but not too bad.
over all, good boards that lasted long. worth the money.
-
thats what i mean i get them directly from black box so maybe thats why i have some of the more squareish ones but i personally think slave makes the best boards and graphics are on point as fuck. pat burke is the homie so when i need certain shit i either go through him or chad foreman. here's the one i have right now i just need to re set it up

the 8.125 shape they use is pretty awesome. had a few. the Schultz 8.25 flathead concave was nice as well.

That's kinda what drew to Slave actually. Love Real, but their graphics are boring haha.
I saw the 8.25 Shultz and the 8.25 Jon Allie monkey deck, both look sick.
The only thing holding me back is the performance compared to the Low Pro's.
-
if i were you i would just try one than make your own decision.
-
Definitely would recommend one. Have skated about 3 of their decks and wasn't disappointed with one of them.

I'm not positive but slave decks have some qualities that are consistent with bareback boards, the tails feel much different and same with the nose, though they are similar they feel like 2 different woodshops.

Slave is bareback whereas DLX boards are generator.

Those woodshops are one in the same. Bareback is generator.

Always great graphics. Good wood too.
-
had this 8.25 one recently, and its one of my favourite boards i have ridden in some time. amazing shape. recommended for sure, and if only for the sick graphics.

I had a slave deck before and it was one of the best decks Ive ever had. Im not sure why I haven't gotten another one since... Thanks for the reminder
-
skating an 8.125 schultz pro model and i fucking love it. definitely worth it.
-
I got a slave flat head recently. Didn't realize how flat it was when I was at the shop, but I got used to it and like it quite a bit. Where are slave decks made, By the way?
-
Mexico.
-
Sorry for bringing this topic back but, I got a good deal on flathead online and I just wanna know if its medium concave or straight out flat?
-
i skated one, it was more on the flat side but not ultra-flat. good board.
-
currently have an 8.125 and it has a square tail
-

No they're not
-
It's the wood that makes it good

Generator is a distributor for Bareback. Call Bareback and you'll be transferred to someone that works for Generator. I didn't think Generator pressed boards anymore. Anyone have the story?

As far as I know, Generator presses boards in their shop in California. Bareback presses boards in Mexico.

The 8.25s are solid as well.
Slave boards are great. The graphics, team, wood, and shapes are all on point - The best Blackbox brand without a doubt.

My friend has a 8.8 and it has a shovel nose and a short steep tail, A lot of concave too.
-
Horton tossed me a free Schultz model for buying a painting, debating whether or not I want to skate it.

Yeah I got to step on one at the park this week. Lots of concave, I feel like it's even more than Magenta which surprised me.
