Anyone have any info on the Vans Old Skool Sport? Axel Cruysberghs has a color way that just came out. Hoping they’re not Europe only

Thanks! I’ll be on the lookout then I guess
Saw on Lizzie’s IG that they will be out in the US soon, but no date.

They’ve been on the US Vans site for a bit already https://www.vans.com/en-us/shoes-c00081/skate-old-skool-sport-x-axel-cruysberghs-shoe-pvn000mrjyqx

Ace bushings work with Stage 4s?

Not quite. They're a touch too small, both cone and barrel. The stock bushings are good - they firm up after a while. I'm running Riptide KranK 90a bushings in mine nowadays though.

Super left turn:
Anyone know of any current brands making wheels like the OJ lil doodies or the G&S rollerballs?
[close]

Not as dramatic, but nano cubics are one I can think of off the top of my head. Nothing in Snot's current catalog but it feels like it'd be right up their alley.

Doesn't Snot have an ultra-small wheel that looks like it's come from an in-line mould? I think they're called - "Lil' Shits".

Currently riding forged Ventures with 1/16 shock pads and 54mm wheels and liking the setup a whole lot.

Haven't done risers since my first proper set up (Monkey Business), but thanks for the input. Heard a lot of people use risers with Thunders, didn't know it was a thing with Ventures.

If you liked the Royals why switch? I have Ventures and axle my trucks before replacing, but if things were dire I would just go with what I have liked the most. Time is too short as an adult to waste time fucking about.

I have used forged Ventures and they're fine- a bit faster snap but they make most decks feel lethargic to me and I can't ride Ben D shorties. If they had the same wheelbase I might ride em.

You're absolutely right. The best trucks are the ones that are broken in and what you're used to. I'll only swap out trucks once they're done, too.

If he is such a good Magician why doesn't he just Abra Cadabra that sand away instead of using a dustpan like some hack?

In response to the dude who prefers skateparks without copying a wall of text: I’d just like to say you must have some rad parks available and have the patience of a saint because anytime I can usually go to a skatepark it’s full of of actual children whipping scooters around or doing fuckin laps on toddler bikes as their parents stand back and ignore young Aiden almost getting taken out by someone 3x his size because he decided to ride in front of me right while I’m dropping in. Not to mention the 18-25 crowd who show up and turn the entire place into Tampa am while I fumble around trying to get some basic trick I’ve done 100 times. I’m too old to get snaked by a bunch of kids who don’t understand or give a shit about etiquette, or keep up with the younger guys in their prime. It’s either show up early or late enough to avoid it or just go find a nice quiet street spot where I can fuck around or take it as seriously as I want to without being bothered by any outside interference. Security hasn’t been a big issue for me in a long time but I also seek out low profile spots. Just feels better to me to get a make on something that wasn’t designed for skateboarding.

This pretty much summarizes perfectly my existence as a skateboarder. Thanks.

Has Frank Gerwer ever had a thrasher cover?
[close]

I looked and could only find a cover he had for Skateboarder and his name in text on a thrasher Nyjah cover
[close]

Yeah same. Crazy that he has been pro for ages and never got one. Like I don't think Jake would have blocked it but after hearing about Grosso you never know.
[close]

What about Grosso?
[close]
Jake wouldn't give him a cover, they had some beef or some shit
[close]

@5:00, from the horses mouth. Doesn't detail why, but says he "never will". Sorry to be dark, but it only took him passing away for Thrasher to award him that....

Appreciate it! Didn't expect this as Grosso was repping Thrasher pretty hard.
