Do you know if dlx or huf have them yet?
I heard HUF stopped carrying SB's, DLX still does, not sure if they got their shipment in yet. Give them a call.
Good for HUF. I guess he's gotta save the $$$ to make his own stuff.
It's really scary to see the tons of weak shit Nike's has been forcing shops to buy. They're seriously risking putting a lot of dudes out of business making them buy models and colorways Nike should know aren't going to sell.
HUF has their new shoe line, they don't want competition & stuff like that. As for nike, it does suck that core shops order like p rod 4, classic high, and other models that wont sell at all. Let the core shops get janoski, dunks and blazers (models that will sell) and let the shitty mall shops get the P rod models that wont sell at al..
Does that mean he's dropping Converse, Vans, Adidas, etc? I doubt he could survive with just his own line in there, he doesn't have enough selection to keep people excited, but I could see how dropping SB would save him a ton of cash.
I always heard SB was a crazy money maker because of all the sneaker nerd lemming.
I think that was true, but now that money's tighter it's been getting harder to sell the crazy colorways and that the sneakerheads haven't been picking up multiple pairs.
The SB line comes out with 4-6 pairs every month, so as a shop owner (if you do a full size run: 5-12) you have to buy between 60 and 90 pairs a month and you're going to have to sell half of them just to break even on the cost of shoes. Forget about rent, labor, electricity and profit.
