GoPro 10 / 11 / Mods and set ups -
« on: November 07, 2022, 08:20:20 AM »
Set up a GoPro 10 with Lens Mod attachment.  Shoot in 4:3.  Its been really nice honestly.  The clarity and IS is exceptional in daylight.  Haven't messed with it at night.

Don't know how the 11 is and haven't edited with the files to get really granular with it.  Does anyone know of any directional mic options for this?

It could be pretty useful with an external monitor and and considering adding weight to my camera set up on the back so it feels more substantial.  So far pretty impressed with it overall.

Had the GoPRo 9 for a short time and used the Sennheiser MKE 400 mic which was decent. I had to get GoPro Mic adpater to use it. Not sure if the newer GoPros require it. The mic is about $100 new and you can find the adapter for less than $50 used.

Kind of steep in price as it's $300 but the vx1000 external mic will probably produce even better audio. I haven't used it so I can't vouch but the vids I watched a few years ago seemed close to the original vx.

I didn’t use the lock horizon feature - this is with lens mod at 4:3   - I was getting used to it so don’t mind the filming too much

Are you still using this setup? Any additional thoughts now that it’s been a few months?
