Short and fat?
« on: June 29, 2020, 08:45:25 AM »
No, not me. I'm looking for an old school style deck that is wider than 9" and shorter than 32". Anyone have any recommendations? A friend of mine is currently skating Polar's Dane 1 special shape, and it's pretty fun (but of course sold out across the US).

The ZERO cruiser decks are pretty sweet if you can find one without a stupid misfits graphic (unless you are into that) https://zeroskateboards.com/collections/decks/products/zero-a-d-9-5

I have one set up as a cruiser, but its skates pretty nice.

I'm just glad this thread isn't some sort of confessional about your genitals or something.

The Krooked Zip Zogger is 10x30. I picked one up a few months back, super fun.

The Theories “Special Delivery” shape is super fun. It’s 9”x 31.5” with some taper but I use 9” trucks with nothing poking out as far as I can tell. Fat tail and narrow nose with modern concave. I’ve learned a ton of shit I couldn’t even do fifteen years ago on it—highly skateable.

I want one of those so badly, but I’ve only been able to find it in brown with yellow lettering and I know I would be like 15% bummed on it every time I flip it over.

Santa Cruz has some 10 inch reissues that are 30.12 length. They also have some popsicle shapes in 9 that say they have a 14.25 wheelbase

X2 It is literally the perfect shaped deck imo. Ollies are incredible and flipping it is wicked fun.

Idk if they're still out there but the Baker impact shape was a good one. 9.25" x 32". Was riding that with 9" Krux. Great setup.

Otherwise I second the suggested for a zig zogger. That with Indy 215s is my current cruiser setup but I can still throw it around.

Nowhere near on this level but if anyone comes across an 8.38-8.5 x 31.5 (or thereabouts) on good wood let me know. I'd really like to find a Doom Sayers shorty shape but they're pretty much extinct from what I can find. I prefer full shapes and mellow tails (Quasi/WKND etc) and 14.1-14.25 wb but as long as the length is right I can usually find my feet. Basically something like the antihero yinzer shape but in popsicle form would be great.
