yeah that’s fucking fried man. palace donated £50k to help keep a historic skatespot alive and running, they ran a free indoor park one winter, they’ve done stuff with the NHS, etc. it’s completely fine and appropriate for them to stick to the greater London area, since it’s a massive skateboarding hub and they all live there. just because something doesn’t happen in america doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist
i know red bull’s done some stuff with DIYs and shops but it seems like you’re confusing “doing things to support skateboarding culture” with “paying to slap your brand’s logo all over the place for maximum visibility during a webcast. who gives a shit about the tampa contests anymore anyways? when was the last time someone cool came up through those? what positive impact do those have on skateboarding in 2023?
