Wu Tang; An American Saga
« on: September 11, 2019, 05:22:54 PM »

Saw the first half of the first episode and it's real good. I was a bit hesitant after seeing the NWA and Tupac ones. Method Man and RZA are involved in making it.

Anyone else watching?

I did the first three episodes...I’m not really feeling it, some of the acting is just bad...I don’t think method man, Raekwon l, and ghostface characters looks like them at all

After UGod said that most members have to pay Rza to use the W Logo,I just cant fox with them. I'm glad the god iron Lung is profitting of this tho.

After that Better Tomorrow nonsense it’s clear that if the Wu ever puts out another project they need to fully hand creative control to Rae and Ghost. Rza might be my all time favorite producer but he’s losing it. Rae and ghost have been the ones still making albums that sound like what Wu is supposed to sound like.

Inspektah deck is killing it with czarface.

The rza sounds like an ass if you see that method man story about that one of a kind album.

Just finished the first 4 episodes and I'm disappointed that it's dealing mainly with street life. (Basically The Wire-lite.) I was hoping that by this point they'd at least have a song, or a demo tape, or something!

I'm just now watching mics and men. I'll get to this one later, but it sounds like I don't need to rush.

I've been meaning to look deeper into Wu Tang but not sure what's worth watching/reading. Any recommendations?

I watched 2 episodes. Its okay, but the casting is inconsistent. Like how do you nail ODB perfectly (which is fucking hard), but can't a find a dude that looks like Ghostface...
