Post UPCOMING/RECENT NIKE SB shoe releases thread

I've never noticed any difference between SB and classic dunks other than the tongue thickness or maybe the leather felt more quality on the SBs. But if you're actually skating them it never really mattered. We used to buy these fucking things at Champs for $50 and just put the SB insoles in them. I cannot believe people are buying these for hundreds of dollars.

Holy shit I had that exact same colour and skated them a bit too. Probably 2005ish. This summer I rebuilt my deck at my house and one of my old friends came to help and was wearing the same pair I skated but they had paint all over them. Turns out I gave them to him and he still has them and wears them for projects or whatever ahah.

If only it were this way still. These would have probably been pretty hyped this year since the brown/black/white color trio was made so popular by the mocha and Travis Scott Jordan 1's.

i got a pair of old non sb dunk his at my parents house that i've also worn as project/painting shoes. i skated them a bit, too. the colorway is kind of ugly though. but i always forget to bring these with me when i visit them. i wanted to respectfully shred them to bits.

I’m ready to drop that 120 on a pair that isn’t a kooky color way. Get them and realize they’re too nice land end up with them as a day to day until something happens and I say F it and skate them.

These ones are actually brown/navy/cream/vintage looking sole. They were actually kinda ugly which is probably why I didn't fully skate them. There were way better colours readily and easily available at the time.

another idea pulled straight out the garbage. after struggling with coordinating colors on a shoe that was basically designed for simple, but clean colorblocking, they managed to give the upper identity crisis as well. not even the swooshes are sure if they want to be part of this shoe.

Yeah, another disappointing/confusing patchwork style shoe. I get the concept of deconstructing classic shoes and even defended the first round of blazers to my friends a few months back, but it quickly went too far. Thanks Virgil...

will they be back?
what does chukka mean, ive seen it applied to other models?

Blazer chukkas are still available via the nike customs “nike by you” page.  Not technically SBs but same silhouette and you can probably just swap out an insole.

Yeah somebody told me about the Nike by You option the other day, but yeah it's not quite gonna suit me. It's $170 {at least in australia} and they're just a lifestyle model - i don't know how much of a difference there is between an 'sb' and this 'mid 77' design, but i'm not gonna fuck with it.

Was not expecting these to be tear away. Definitely prefer the blue outer but if people are gonna year off the blue and then try and sell them at a lower cost then maybe I’ll pick up a pair used. The last sb Jordan 1 lows with the tear away uppers you can get fairly cheap if they’re already torn

right, i kinda didn't look at the sole as much. heel area and panels are different to challenge courts for sure tho.
