you weren't a victim of anything... this never has, and never will go out of style.

Had a bunch of Pennywise cd's (they ruled)

there's nothing wrong with Pennywise or Rancid for that matter, good bands.

I don't recall anything except wearing the fisherman hats because Ronnie Creager is my hero.  I also had a brown shoe fetish but could never source a pair.  Brown Axions were what I wanted...then Axion went under.  Once I was able to finally obtain a pair of brown shoes (not Axions), I had already become too stricken by my black shoe fetish so I gave them away.

endless muska silhouette decks.  the ones with the red tail and his shadow as a graphic.
dc mantecas...good shoes, but everyone at my school fucking had them.
thinking josh kasper skating to offspring was the sickest shit ever.
writing/drawing skate-related stuff on my school binder.
skull cap beanie with long hair hanging out of the bottom - middle school classic.
yellow/baby blue t-shirts.
thinking crooked grinds were the absolute best thing ever.

i had a bunch of mantecas too haha, and i used to listen to the mixtape that came with the osiris dvd, also cargo pants that turned into shorts

making a "tricks to film" list AAAAHAHAHAHA

i didn't smoke but ihad one anyways, the skatetool that was also a pipe, that shit was nice. i wish that i still had it today

ejaculator wheels, the wheels that looked like they had jizz inside of them.

XXL shortys hardwear hoodie

bleached and died hair.

some of my boys were still wearing the scout belts with the hanging end just a few years ago. 20+ year old men still doing that shit... i felt bad making fun of them.

adidas swishy pants cut into shorts. they were totally the worst things to skate in. they got super sticky from a little bit of sweat.

double heelflip indy grabs on flat were my signature trick at 15.

i guess i wasn't a victim, cause it was all super fun. but i never understood why the older dudes jived on us groms.. to be ignorant...

bringing the new CCS catalog to school and having everyone fag out on it.

I got mine back, and some asshole circled all the decks he wanted. Like I'm supposed to tell his mom or something. I hope he's still a drug addict failing at life.

i was a sophmore in highschool in 91-92 in a small halfway decent suburbian town 10 mils outside of portland oregon, thre were 3 skateboarders in my school including me. i think you can get the picture

mind you, i had a video part in powell "chaos" one of the worst videos in skateboarding to date, and powell "play" one of the second worst videos to date, wade speyer and chris senn kind of saved the video ;D

Look at it this way, if you got kicked off Satori, they wouldn't even send and email, only smoke signals.

I was reading through this thread trying to gauge my own wackiness over the years, but I still feel like the biggest one (kook).  Here goes.

Vision Street Wear Beret
upside-down bolts in front to give more ollie power
Jimmy'z
Ghetto Wear
Hell Concave
Natas' streetwear brand (the shit was just some stiff fucking canvas/denim shit, goddamn you Natas)
Ratnuts in the nose of my Mark Gonzales "Color my friends" deck=crazy serrated nose when the shit eventually chipped up and they all fell out.
G&S chromoly trucks
World Industries/prime wood (from probably when Vallely rode for them to when Plan B shutdown, with the exception of some New Deal)
Deadbolt trucks
Blind Jeans
shants (huge shorts nearly the size of pants)
Big Deals (New Deal brand humungo size jeans)
The whole fucking Goofy Boy kit (bleached hair, huge jeans, huge t-shirt down to the knees)
small ass wheels (38mm-42mm brand new!)
Bridge bolts
Flex fits
Being "east-coast" when the Subzero video came out (rode a 8.5" board with 60mm wheels for street and skating shitty spots on purpose).
Benihanas on flat or over gaps.

I might finish this list someday.  The only redeeming thing for me is I never rode Z-rollers or those velcro Zerotwo shoes.

“Skaters are rebels” Reggie Barnes
“…If we create campaigns trying to sway skateboarders they will possibly rebel against it and go even more to non branded boards”
