First, none of this means shit because there isn't much proof of anything being claimed here and this reads more like personal disputes between individuals than a large scale issue.
I can confirm the vibing out part to an extent as I used to live in the city, that's definitely partially true and objectively not cool BUT have you ever skated SF? That's kinda commonplace regardless of the crew, lots of dudes think they're hot shit because they skate decently.
Which artist are they being accused of ripping off?
There's no excuse for domestic abuse and if that part is true it's worth prodding further, but again, not something for slap is particularly well equipped to deal with in any meaningful way.

His art of muni busses -the 14 was his original if I’m correct- is around the outer mission area. I forgot what the mess was and if they compensated him (justly) or not. If I’m wrong I’ll happily retract.
The sketchy allegations are correct in specific people.

I am from the East Bay and I used to call SF Frisco, The Sco, etc for while. I feel like that terminology came during that 90s era though. No one should say that now since we’re all super old now. New kids of the city don’t even know the Bay Area rap scene and would never call it that cause it’s just an old phrase.
A lot of 90s rappers called it the sco. 11/5 comes to mind.

If you live here, you’ve seen the numerous iterations of the bus beanies already. The graff shop has one, there’s some BS boutique spot on Valencia with THEIR OWN version, each w/ whatever bus runs through their neighborhood/past their shop, etc, etc, etc. Muni is our UBIQUITOUS, local bus/streetcar service provider (gosh bless the SF Municipal Railway.) Mission skateshop on 24th even boosted Muni’s font directly. No biggie.
The fact that an SF Muni bus was featured on a garment does not, in “this dude’s” eyes, make for copyright infringement. Example: locals all know the tourist-targeted, floppy, dad-style ball caps featuring some depiction of a cable car on it. There are hundreds of iterations of this same design. Are these hats all rampant IP theft, stealing from one another, or is this use of an iconic feature of our locale? Not to mention, the difference between the 14 & the 37 couldn’t be starker in contrast, both in the service area covered, as well as the suggestion made by choosing the 37 line. The 14 runs down Mission, from the bay all the way to the southern end of the city. From the top of Twin Peaks, (final destination of the 37) it’s Hillville the whole way down to the flats. The GX guys knew what they were doing when they chose that line/route to represent their “brand.”
I’m not going to speak on the crappy SF/GG Bridge design they clearly boosted from the “jacket of shame” that tourists are forced to purchase out of necessity upon arriving here in July, only to find out that SF is cold, grey, windy & shrouded in fog after 3PM, depending on which neighborhood they’re staying in during their visit, but even that design was put together using clip art over two decades(?) ago.
Again, not saying these cats aren’t out there boosting IP from artists, but putting a bus, or a bridge, or a cable car, (or even a crab, for crying out loud) on anything SF related doesn’t seem too far beyond the pale if you’re trying to establish some Frisco (yeah, I said it) flavor for your branding effort.

The supreme court has historically been dismissive of rape allegations, and has shown unfair practices to sentencing even with evidence. Local courts across the US dismiss when presented with proof, or sentence for laughably shorter times than minor drug offenses. Hence why I am open to discuss a future with abolishment of our previous modes of thought.

I grew up in the Bay Area, and have never been a fan of the vibe of the GX guys. The BEST hands down representation of the SF culture are the Awaysted and MaxAllure guys. More so the MaxAllure because Karl has single handedly done everything in his power to bring up Bay Area/NorCal scene. Growing up he used to host a river clean up in Vallejo and was the most Humble and genuine guy. Support the locals.

long time lurker first time poster, made a new account for this.
As someone from sf who has been subjected to the "scene", a lot of what she said here is absolutely true. I actually remember the account she was talking about initially in her video that aimed to expose sf abusers and rapists. The account was mass reported and struck down by "homies" enabling their friends. Theres a lot of enabling that goes on in the community over here whether its simply denying claims of abuse or just pretending to be blissfully ignorant. The culture in this city has bred an odd kind of toxicity. Theres a sense of "manliness" that I think many of the skaters here try to embody. Go down the biggest hill, go as fast as possible, don't back down. I think this bleeds over into interactions and that same "don't back down" attitude gets brought into allegations of sexual assault and harassment. For some reason people in this community think they can get away unscathed with harassment. Don't get me wrong though, this isn't every skater in the city, but rather a subset that is incredibly tight knit and happen to be somewhat relevant in the community. The idea that skaters are "the jocks of sf" is also funny to me. Just because these people happen to be relevant in the same cutty subset you occupy does not mean anyone else cares about them or views them note worthy. Still though, this abusive behavior is completely present and I'm glad someone is talking about it.

I've had better food in Oakland. Oakland/Alameda is a way better time in general. Don't know how it is now in Covid times, but theres too many people in the City. Too much catering to the damn tourists. Unless you wanna hit the strip clubs which, aren't my thing but yeah. God speed.

Silence and victim blaming is an issue that is in skateboarding, music, and any industry where people can feel entitled to not understanding the concept of no. I do not know how to fully abolish rape culture but I do believe that no longer trying to find excuses, wiggle room, or “clout-chasing” claims is a step in the right direction. The girl I know was silent for a while because some of the first people she told dismissed her, saying she should be lucky to be with a skater that popular.
