i had my mind somewhat blown this morning upon learning about the "wow! signal". do you guys know about this?

apparently in the '70s some kind of relatively strong radio signal from outer space was detected by a huge listening telescope as part of a SETI project. you can read more details about it in the link up there but i was just shocked to have never heard about this. seems like pretty huge news, although they haven't been able to locate the signal since...

The Wow! signal was on some list a few years ago... maybe on cnn or something, a list of the top ten most important things to happen in the 20th century or something. I think this is pretty rad. All things SETI remind me of that movie Contact, which was rad. except for mcconahay's character.

That movie was horse shit. Some of the best alien movies - Alien(s), Fire In The Sky (fucking hell I barely slept for weeks after watching it), and just about every other movies besides Contact.

Especially that movie with Charlie Sheen, where aliens were in like Mexico and just running this big underground operation and they have legs that bend backwards like a centaur. Now THATS a fucking alien movie.
