So much pop. That song seemed like it would be in some weird safety video in middle school. Emerica has a sick team.
-
dickson's 3 tho
-
so sick when someone is astounded by how much more properly a trick turned out then they expected (ender).
-
He can skate all of the shittiest, most hard to skate looking banks and bumps so well. This really made up for that weird Psockadelic park he recently had. Cant wait to see what he has for the Toy Machine video as well.
-
Hardflip looked so fucking satisfying to put down.
-
Backside impossible on that dream hip spot was sick but can this dude skate switch?

He gets a pass with how proper he does regular tricks.
-

I don’t see how this is important to the discussion of his video part. I noted the lack of switch tricks in this part, but only because I made the mistake of reading some comments before watching the part.
Something I didn’t expect to enjoy so much were his lines, but in this part that’s where his skating really shines.
-

Does it really matter? Dicksons switch flips make up for the lack of switch skating on emerica anyway.

Thought about the upcoming Toy Machine video too n wonderin if this was some throwaway footage from that.
-
Good watch. I'd point out two things:
1. He should have the mullet, not Figgy. Maybe they'll work out a deal one day.
2. bs smith stall in that pool wasn't acceptable
-
every single trick in this part was either out of a bump or into a bank - like most of his parts
-

He probably can, just not at a level where it would fit in a pro-part. A bunch of these transition guys who also skate street have almost no switch footage like Grant and Raven. Similarly, guys who skate with a lot of power in their parts don't tend to either like Mason Silva, Westgate, and AO.

Arguing about Colin's lack of switch is kind of funny when this clip had yet another clip of invert-only dude doing... another invert.

Are people still honestly impressed by switch skating in 2019? Little Billy can switch tre your local skatepark fatty to flatty. Go watch him.

Well those two videos did not serve the purpose you intended. ;D (I've seen them both before). Dude is obviously talented, but he's super gimmicky and does way too many inverts.

Honestly, if I could do inverts, that's probably all I'd do, too.
-
One of my personal favourite skaters, so much pop and as he's shown in his old parts, he can skate almost anything.
Looking forward to seeing his new shoe
-
i wonder what music he listens to that makes him dress like that
-
His ability to get elevation out of these minibumps will never cease to amaze me. The two kickflips (over the tiny hip and in the line) were pure gold. No need for switch stuff whatsoever here as far as I'm concerned.
-

look buddie he won the skateboard mag's years best am award in 2010 for a reason
-
Nothing like a pretentious, never-ending electric guitar solo
-

To each his own. Never liked em'. More of a backside tailslide a ledge type guy.
-

If you didn't mute the video, you were listening to it
-
that impossible 180 was slick.
he gets so much pop off of tiny stuff, it's incredible
-
Dude can launch of anything including curbs. His slappy game is amazing. Can't wait for the new Toy video.
-
Man I hated that color grade.
Provost is sick, though. If I had his frontside 180s, that's all I would do.
-
every single trick in this part was either out of a bump or into a bank - like most of his parts
I can’t stand this guy based on this alone. He is a park rat kid who can pass himself as a street skater as long as he finds banks to launch out of. He has played that shit out
-
Dude keeps looking older but his skating stays the same. Must be weird providing the same 3 tricks since he was 10.
-
every single trick in this part was either out of a bump or into a bank - like most of his parts
I read your comment before watching the part and you're absolutely right. That is kinda strange. Needs to diversify his bonds just a tad

I thought the same. His street skating is heavily influenced by concrete skateparks. It's as if he is looking for street spots which mimick skatepark transitions. It feels as if he kind of approaches it backwards. I like it though. His transfer on that monument was dope.
-
Butthole Surfers, so sick.
-
I'll be the first to admit I have it out for this dude, but...
90% of this part a glorified fly-outs, learn a new trick, no one needs to see that many frontside 180s in a three minute span, and the way Collin Provost aggressively pursues that So-Cal, Black Sabbath, rock n roll bro image (complete with high fives and sunglasses on the head) is beyond corny.

yeah, i'm kinda in the same boat. i know he's damn good, i just don't care for him at all. i'm guessing he was probably a stupid entitled park kid at one point
-
So Colllin have the same t-shirts, seven years by now, at least...
-
I in the camp that is encouraging Collin to lean into the 'big-tricks-off-tiny-banks' thing. He certainly has ATV skills, but I'd much rather see him shredding some non spot spots than more filler bowl footage.
And I completely don't care about the lack of switch at all. Unless your switch tricks have style, don't put it in the video just to prove you can do a switch heelflip.
That being said, a coupe of ledge tricks or wallrides in the wouldn't have hurt.
-

VERY curious

Part was fine. I'd prefer to see cruising around ollieing everything thing in sight like Donger if that is the type of part you are going to make though.

Not saying I prefer one or the other but skateboarding today does feel like people playing dress up. Especially on Instagram.

If you focus on anyone's kit long enough itll feel like dress up no matter what style they have. Damn some of you have really strict style guides one what it takes for you to like someones skating. This dude just wears band tees and jeans from what I can tell. There are way worse styles out there.

I dont know why, but I never cared for provost, still don't

Honestly, if anything, the way he dresses he's not ten years behind, he's more like Ten Years After.

just think of bumps and banks as his niche. that part was very watchable. I like the motion involved in skating street transition. makes the shots more dynamic. he can skate in tight pants ‘cause he’s rail thin. I would barely be able to push in tight ass jeans. it’s amazing he can move enough in them to get that much pop. socal stoner rock dudes will always be around in some form. at least he’s not trend hopping like some dudes.
-
Most of that shit is barely even transition tho. Just really abrupt steep bumps. If that stuff was in a park most people could barely skate it at all
-
He's someone I'm kind of inclined to dislike, but then I keep seeing spots he hit in real life and realizing how gnarly his clips actually were. For a skatepark bred kid he sure can deal with rugged, crack filled, awkward street spots.
-

I like how none of the new emerican kids were in it
I’m pretty down with the slap consensus on the dude, but I’m sure he scores big with the 13yold demographic.
He had a line in there but it was awkward and lacked some creativity. Dickson was my highlight.

emerica and toy machine have became so corny. colin helped

He's on Volcom and most Volcom jeans have amazing stretch in them. I can skate skinny Volcom jeans just fine, actually much better than a whole bunch of other non skinny jeans with no or not enough stretch in them. Not restrictive at all. I refuse to skate anything without proper stretch in them anymore, no matter how skinny or baggy. It's just so much better.

his jeans arent even all that skinny, just slim fit. look at mid 00's DUffel for SKINNY jeans.
kinda surprised at the hate on here, I always thought Provost was sick. he has his own way of skating that doesnt come off as contrived or gimicky, just seems to be how he skates. sure his bag isnt that deep but that doesn tbother me cos this tricks he does are always proper and usually massive.
-
I can’t beleive people are hating on this dude lol
I loved it, made me want to go skate

Yeah, the way that last bump slowly rose out of the ground over the course of ~10 feet... so abrupt and shocking.

I don't see why anyone would judge this part so much, if you want to see good footage wait for a new video or watch Made Chapter 1 again, he's obviously not going to release his best stuff on some random video no one will care about after a few hours.
