do people understand that when moves are made by companies, it takes time for it  to actually happen, and is not immediately going to be on the company website?...

Exactly. There are contracts with obligations. You're not just like "I don't want to be on your team anymore, see ya." Especially with companies like Nike and DC. These shits don't happen overnight.

Yeah....it's called a breach of contract. It's pretty much stupid if you just start sporting another company when you aren't legally sponsored by them. Plus I doubt Shane wants to have Nike breathing on his neck trying to sue him for going to DC. And why not just wait it out. If this is true, Shane is getting paid by Nike till the end of his contract and then will get a pay increase (hopefully) by DC when he gets on with them.

I remember the days when companies would find out their riders switched companies from 411 grapevine with SLB lol

You're comparing a facebook status to the intricacies of contracts that have developed in the skate world? Nike and DC will have shit like NBA contracts, not "Shane O'Neill has changed his contract status to DC."

Yeah I know of just flow riders who were on contracts being threatened to be sued for breach of contract for changing sponsors.. so you can imagine with 'bigger name' it would be even gnarlier

i think the dude means board graphics, vibe/aesthetic, how eclectic the team is, etc. based on raw talent alone, of course Plan B is ahead by far, but i sure as fuck would rather be riding a John Motta pro model over a Sheckler or Pudwill one.

Did Janoski and Shane have a baby? Or first ever pro model collaboration with two different skaters, but in one shoe

Ever since Kalis quit his low-key hate on Shane and is now backing "this kid" I have no doubt that Shane is on DC.

I can't see malto on nike without them loosing some heads - the team is way too stacked.  Someone like dan murphy is gone.

He got on because of stefan and koston. And the tm for etnies is gone that he followed so his contract is up and he was out.
I like how you think Nike couldn't afford someone or there was no room.

If you think about it, Shane and Malto have to thank Dyrdek and street league for this big time moves. Doubt it that without the wins, both companies would've make the moves.
