I appreciate the advice S. and givecigs .
I've came to realize in the last 2 days that this must be some Nerve damage in the area of where that bruise is shown in the prior picture (the bruise was from the injections though, not from the injury) .
I've noticed that if I touch my skin in that area with something other than my own finger, I have no feeling there. I can feel pressure, but overall , there is a complete loss of sensation on that area of my skin , if I put something cold on there like the tip of some metal, its like nothing is touching me. If i move it slightly over , I gain full sensation again, and then on top of the 5th metatarsal connection with the phlange, that area burns to the touch. so If I move something foreign lightly over the area the pain stems from , there is either no sensation of touch. Like the area is dead. But if I move over a 1/2 of an inch , full sensation . and then the area below that on the side of my foot burns when touching softly.
I can't believe I didn't notice this earlier, and I can't believe the doctors didn't do any sort of test that would have revealed this. When I was younger I split my shin on a yellow CCS rail. I got maybe 7 stitches in the area, and apparently that had hit a nerve and the area where I scarred, I was never really able to feel sensation again.
This to me seems extremely similar , I stretched my foot in a motion that damaged the nerves in a specific area, and when pulled/stretched into that motion again , causes extreme pain / burning , and when left to rest, has no sensation/feeling.
I am liberally applying CBD oil to this area, and I am going to continue trying to do physical activities like Yoga and skateboarding with as minimal impact on that motion/area as possible. But I feel like its gotta be helpful to keep blood flowing to that area, with minimal activity , CBD lotion foot massages and periodic resting .
I guess if the nerves aren't completely damaged they can heal themselves albeit slowly , I've also read briefly about Cryo shots that freeze the nerves in the area and can relieve pain for months - years . I feel much better than I did last week , at least with knowing whats going on . If I do see another doctor , I think I'll have a better grasp on what I need when going in.
anyone have any experience with Nerve Damage?
