trying to motivate myself as i've been in somewhat of an artists' slump over the last year or so; figured i'd post a bunch of paintings i've done over the last 5 years.The black/white ones are either oil or acrylic on large canvas; the red ones are oil on paper; the last on is a magazine cover i did.
You probably already know of him, but if you don't you should look up Luc Tuymans. I can see you like dudes like Gerhard Richter, but when you're paint opacity gets thinner on some of those paintings it it makes me think a little of Tuymans.

Nice stuff Twist, I like that you've got a sense of humor in your work one time but keep it serious the other. Only crit I have is that the shoelaces would pop more if you added some shading to them.
