Why are people saying he deserves to be on addidas/Nike and get paid? Most dudes don't get a second chance let alone like 5 or 6. He's lucky to be on straye. Hard to believe Jamie didn't hook up Forrest because he's "difficult" but puts Antwuan fully on. He's fine where he is. He said raw dog makes whatever he wants and he never had any input on graphics when he was on deathwish.

No "legit" (whatever that means in 2018) board company is gonna put him on since it's hard for him to skate street and go on tours. He'd have to go to Europe or China to film a legit full length part. He said his part is gonna be short and sweet and he'll probably have to film at DIY spots and spots that aren't a bust. He doesn't even seem to love skating and is out of touch with what's going on in skating. I truly wish him the best but he's probably going to relapse unless he focuses all of his attention on skating and helping out at raw dog or finds something else to give his life meaning. Getting Nike checks (good money with almost no responsibilities) is the last thing he needs.

tldr; Dude seems like he has no passion for skating or anything else for that matter. It seems like he's skating cuz that's all he knows/what the fuck else is he gonna do? He should focus on raw dog and get a wearhouse job and call it a day and just skate for fun.

I dont know the time line on when it was filmed but Antwuan had 4 tricks as the closer for the friends section in “Friend Zone” which came out earlier this year. Side note: Great video. Pnw skaters and mostly pnw spots. Mostly Zero, Scram, and Girl flow skaters all on VX. Antwuan does some pretty dope shit down like a 8 stair or something in Pioneer Square in Seattle. Gotta rewatch that shit tonight.

You're not looking at this from a rational point of view. Skills and style give you a head start, and that always works out when you're coming up. Baker/Deathwish and éS/Supra are fine examples, I guess.

But when you lack the will to put in the hard work, have no determination and continuously fuck up, there will be no one waiting in line to make you the posterboy for their company. From that same point of view, Antwuan's past is not a great reference and he has some serious image problems. He may claim that this was the image others created, but it's hard to dust if off.

It's one thing when the ones holding the big cash are already paying you and you fuck up. In their own financial intrest they might cover it up or continue to back you (e.g. Kobe, Nyjah, Tiger Woods). It's a whole other story when they have zero affiliation with you.

In that case, which is also Antwuan's case, you don't deserve it and the big ones don't owe you anything either.
