I hate the dunk craze and can't wait for it to die. If this is what you have to go through just to get a pair of fucking skate shoes, just do first come first serve in store only and you solve the problem. Don't make any special announcements, just put the shoe on the rack like any other shoe and be done with it.
I got two dead stock pairs for 180€ on Vinted meanwhile these guys have to donate an entire skateboard and pay over a hundred bucks. I’m sorry but anyone falling for this is an idiot
Edit: don’t wanna feed the virtue signalling post below and derail so I’ll correct my original post. First, I never had the intention of bragging about my spending, I should have worded this better to be fair, I only meant you can buy dunks for cheap on second hand platforms, used or dead stock in my case. I personally don’t give a shit about Nike or how dunk looks, I just like them because they have uniform padding, a wide toe box and are cup soles. I would love to support a brand making similar shoes in actual reputable factories that pay their adult, not children, workers fairly. Something tells me you don’t have any answers and just typed out yet another post shitting on dunks because of some vague moral standard even though whichever brand you skate most likely produces their shoes in sweatshops too. We’re all consumer cattle by the way, every single thing you buy has a negative impact on something or someone you elitist cunt, don’t act like you’re above the rest. Now please do post actual brands making shoes similar to dunks without the nasty package, I’m tired of looking around for a replacement
