I'm not stoked on my friend that is a Christian, lately taking his believs too far. He used to listen to cool music like explosions in the sky and some other famouse indie stuff, along with a whole bunch of different hardcore and post rock.
Recently he went and sold around 900 cds for 300 bucks, and he doesn't really need the money. He had suck a huge collection of music, and only around 1/10 of it was on his computer. But he went and sold it all.
He now only listens to christian bands like Underoath and As I lay Dying and shit..... He says he only listens to "lyrics he agrees with". I told him that most bands don't have anti christian lyrics, and that they can apply to anyone, and he can also listen to interesting instrumental stuff. But he told me that those bands "do not please god". And when I try to argue it, he changes the topic like he's too scared to hear good points that he is closing his eyes to.
He also plays games a lot. I tell him its a waste of time, but he says when he's killing shit in games, "hes hanging with jesus". He claims that he always hangs with jesus.
The reason he became a christian was because he was depressed. I don't think its a good way out.
Oh, and hes getting weird about porn. He says that its a syn, and that he quit, but then once in a while, he would just send me a whole bunch of porn passwords for sites with. The messages are titled "crack". He sometimes tells me he screwed up, and that he looked at porn.
He is weird. He doesn't care because "he has jesus"....
