Post up some good videos from youtube. Not just videos of juggalos fighting after school.

When I don't feel like watching movies I try to find interesting stuff on Youtube. Lately I can't stop watching videos of dudes telling their stories of being in Vietnam. They are horrifying and mesmerizing all at once. This guy Al White went through so much. Foul mouthed as fuck, but interesting, dark, and sometimes funny. I listened to half of it while driving like a podcast.

It sounds like you're looking for some more interesting/informative material, so this maybe not be relevant, but the All Gas No Brakes videos are hilarious and a terrifying look at some groups of people in the U.S.

Also, I came across these through some YouTube algorithm suggestion, but for some reason it's really awesome to me. It's basically a white dude in Brooklyn who speaks really great Chinese in varying dialects and pretends to be a stereotypical white dude interacting in Chinatown, but then breaks out his perfect Chinese. It's cool because it all of a sudden breaks down a lot of barriers between the people he's interacting with and then often gets into cool conversations with people. Really random, but I enjoyed these.

This dudes channel is super nerdy but interesting if you enjoy different peoples’ rise and fall, from YouTubers to cult leaders and Austrian wine makers poisoning their clientele. This one is the weirdest, in my opinion. It’s a 40 minute doc chronicling a house full of a few people who believed themselves to be reincarnated characters of video games (in this case, final fantasy 7). It’s wild.

Dope thread idea!  I’m gonna watch these while I try to come up w something on par.  One thing I’ve been doing is watching review videos.  “Classical” online review seems to be dead, which sucks a little since all these yters have near-zero credibility, but some of them are really good, and building up that cred video by video.  Like Ben Degros but for cars, phones, etc.  Real pedestrian but seriously in depth stuff.

^I've actually watched a few of his videos while bored at work and greatly appreciated his knowledge and desire to just inform people of what they're buying. Very good content.


My wife and I have been watching gamers on YouTube a lot lately, but specifically this one guy called Coryxkenshin. He's nerdy as fuck and does't curse, but still makes some pretty entertaining content. Hell, watching him play games like RE2 and Ghosts of Tsushima are what convinced me to buy them in the first place.
This is one of the first ones we watched. Ended up binging through until he took a 9 month hiatus that ended like 4 months ago.

My wife shared this with me a few months ago and I totally forgot about it until it popped up in my recommendations at work today. Very interesting to see the progression of these organisms over literal years. Makes me think twice about consuming water from a random stream.

Last night I rewatched the Jereme Rogers' episode of the Andy Roy podcast thing he was doing with Priya for a bit. Poor audio aside, I had forgotten how good it is. It's incredible, like modern day Spinal Tap in so many parts.

I never thought I’d be so engrossed by interviews with 80’s and 90’s B-movie action stars. Dolph Lundgren was Grace Jones’s boy toy? Richard Norton was Linda Rondstadt’s bodyguard? I’ve only ever seen Adkins in his supporting bad guy roles but he seems like a superfan of old action movies with an encyclopedic knowledge of who did what kick when. It’s really cool if you were in to that stuff as a kid.

I’ve been skipping around but they’ve all been great.

Rally Group B was a crazy ass class of Rally racing that had almost no limits to allowed modifications to the cars. Shit eventually got way too deadly and out of control. Seeing some of these cars fucking flying through the air is impressive. This video gives a great brief overview but it's worth just watching old footage and not hearing some goofy English dude talk.

I was just looking at his work for the first time recently and I'm in awe of the quality and quantity. So good. Some of the dream sequences are just incredible. Have you ever watched any Takeshi Murata videos like Om Rider? Not to compare the two competitively but Murata's weird still lifes are maybe the first computer 3D print artist I've ever felt a strong connection with.

I saw this making of the original Star Wars and they had little models too. I don’t know anything about filmmaking but it’s super interesting, like the workarounds before computers

Why in the hell would you break into an X-ray machine, remove a very component/chemical from it, then proceed to play with/sell said chemical?

I advise you guys not to waste your time thinking that your device cannot play audio files. I know for a fact that Android devices, Amazon Kindle Fire, and Windows PCs play Ogg files quickly. At the same time, web browsers have no problem streaming these files online. However, not all devices can play initially, as is the case with Apple devices. But there is a simple solution to this problem: download your favorite player app to your iPhone, iPad, or MAC to play the Ogg format in them, as well as other formats not supported by Apple devices. thank you, this gave me confidence in my android devices and my windows pc to play ogg files quickly. i was literally having panic attacks at the thought of what might happen should i try to play an ogg file. i was paralyzed to the point that i set it off to a later date after i've done some research on the subject. but now that fear is gone. it's incredible.
