"shit got real when whiteley just stood motionless watching john go straight for that curb at 30+ miles an hour.
there's no way that could have ended well."
-- if you watch, i move over a little while he's coming down that last stretch as i was hoping he might still try to make the turn and i wanted to catch him if he was gonna hit the car. i had no idea what was going to happen at that point. it didn't end well in terms of his scalp, but it ended very well in terms of john being extremely gnarly.
"Omar Hassan seems like fucking good guy."
-- having never really hung out with him much before, i was surprised at how cool he was. he says some great stuff in the next episode, too.
"i'd be willing to bet money no one got a good ledge line at 3rd and army and no one is going to say anything about that."
--i'm sure our definitions will be different on what makes for a "good" ledge line, but mango got a rad one, and some others got lines as well- including forrest...
"That's some medieval looking shit... obviously he's out of the game, but he gets a life gnar for risking his shit like that. Dude's made of gnar. Shit, with a gash like that I'm stoked he's alive!"
-- don't be so sure!
"will we get to see the slam unedited?"
-- bright and early monday morning!
"most people that skate realize most of the people that skate transition are over the age 30."
-- sorry to make an old guy reference, but have you ever seen the first plan b video? there's a miniramp section in the middle of it that was the peak of technical tranny skating at the time, maybe you can appreciate that. i don't think any of those guys could have been over 21 at that point, probably more like 18.
