i predict a random team winning the cup an dhaving to live with an * besides their cup titles,  "buffalo sabres win 2013 stanley cup*"

* won't happen. At least it didn't happen in the NBA, Lebron still got his ring.

PS. San Jose will take that asterisk.

That was the most unreal moment ever. I was listening to end of the 3rd period in my car and was almost in tears when Gagner's goal was taken away from him and then almost in tears again with Yak's buzzer beater. The amount of young talent Edmonton has is just insane. Playoff bound for sure.

I feel so bad for Kessel since he hasn't scored in ages, the dude's going to break down into tears on the ice soon. At least JVR, Kadri and Frattin are picking up his slack, JVR is making me forget about Schenn easily.

Anyhow, Mike Kostka sucks asshole. He doesn't deserve top minutes for no clear reason which he is getting, is awful defensively and his great flashes of play with the puck are getting overshadowed by huge fuck ups. Maybe Phaneuf wouldn't be getting shit on by everyone if he didn't have to play with an AHL defensemen, that's all he is yet he's getting more minutes per game than Chara, Weber, Doughty, Seabrook, Kieth, amongst various other skilled elite defensemen.

There is NO reason for him to raise his skate like that. Ever. That's not an accident.
I think that's some of the dirtiest shit I've ever seen.

I can't even imagine the amount of pain you would feel after that.

It looks bad in slow motion but there's no way in hell it was intentional. He was trying to pin him against the boards, players always use their knees to dig in, it just slipped up when Karlsson moved and when he brought it back down obviously it was in a shitty spot. Cooke's a piece of shit but it was clearly an accident.

Dude's keeping his balance as he's finishing a check. foot came up and scraped Karlsson's leg. It sucks and Cooke has a bad history but I don't think he had the intention of fucking him up like that.

you idiots who think that was a dirty play from cooke have obviously never played hockey before. its just pinning someone to the boards, everyone does it this was just a freak accident.  you only think it's dirty because it was cooke, who has turned his game around in the past year. karlsson should have been wearing kevlar socks

There are so much easier ways to injure someone on purpose than digging a skate into an achilles. I think it is by accident.

Also, something tells me that the Capitals will get a lot better as soon as Ovechkin leaves the team.
if post- retirement duke nukem bagged that azz i have a chance too

Honestly, it looks like Cooke did that on purpose. Everyone is going to want to punch him in the face but will end up fighting Deryk Engelland instead.

I like how the Senators owner calls out Cooke for being a goon and saying he should get kicked out of the league while he has Chris Neil on his team...

Anyhow, the Leafs shut the door on them tonight, so I'm happy.

Neil, in all personal opinion are similar players. Both are shit disturbers that can actually play hockey. Calling Neil a goon is like calling Cooke a goon. Yes Cooke's been suspended five times, but his last incident was over two years ago and he didn't intentionally try to hurt Karlsson.

Colton Orr managed 13 minutes of ice time tonight. Randy

Yes, just both shit disturbers that are quite similar players, just Cooke has the past. Considering he cut down on his penalty minutes in 2011-2012 and didn't get suspended once, at least he's trying to change.
