Justin Eldridge Pretty Sweet Full Length Part Re-Edit (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iemj0YCY5E#ws)
-
wow that was sick. both those nollie noseblunts he did looked so proper, especially the one on that marble wave thing. I was expecting only ledges and handrails, it was nice to see him skate some bank to ledges, qps and hips, I guess I had him pegged as just the handrail guy and was super glad I was wrong. That part was sick, poor guy got robbed of a good part in Pretty Sweet, I hope kids see this, because I doubt many people under 20 even know who this dude is.
-
fuck yes! that was an awesome part.
and i cant wait to hear how many people are about to hate on the song or say "this was better than all of pretty sweet. fuck you ty!"
-

those ledges! damn that was nice..better late than never
-
damn nearly filmed a whole part in china, why did they use that song though haha
-
The angle on the nollie noseblunt through the wave made that my favourite trick in there. And I just love how he rolls away from his switch fs blunts, he looks like he is Properly riding backwards. (and the switch blunt to manny)
This was a good part indeed, although I miss seeing him destroy handrails
-
when i think of music and skateboarding the first thing that comes to mind is daft punk, then shakira is right behind there.
-
This is what got cut from PS ? wtf were they thinking ? why didnt he have a full part like this ?
Great song by daft punk , but didnt think it fit . gonna watch PS , think he had a better song in there
they really messed up PS in so many ways , just remake the vid without all the special stuff and just full parts with good songs
really nice skating from Eldridge
-
I have to be another one to say that song was a bad choice. Trying to ride the wave of popular music
really awesome skating. That noseblunt through the wave made me say "fuck" out loud.
-
yeah the noseblunt thru the wave was sick. I also think the song was fitting but woulda been much better off without the vocals.
-
Loved it. he really knows how to balance on a ledge
Already been said but i really cant believe he didnt have a full part in pretty sweet, you can clearly see that he filmed most of it in China with the rest of the team before the video got released.
And those switch front blunts!
-
That hurricane shuvs on the bank to ledge is awesome. Feel bad they didn't give him a full part after all the work he put in.
-
honestly this dude is so pissed. cut from the video after filming hella bangers, then given a consolatory "re-edit" part with the shittiest song known to man. don't worry dude, better days are ahead.
-
they shouldve done 4 edits. one with daft punk, one with wu tang, one with sabbath, and one with no music at all. then nobody would have anything to complain about.
-
That was pretty dope. no complaints here
-
i liked the song and this part should have been in the video
-
i liked the song and this part should have been in the video
-
No need for other edits this is just perfection.Hope to see a lot more daft punk on future skate videos, more electro euro dance in general.
-
That was great.
Now give me a Kenny Anderson part.
And a Chris Roberts one as well.
-
Yeah it's too bad this got cut from the video, I think this is a better part then his yeah right part. It was more intresting, he did lines and skating more intresting spots in this.
Good part.
-
Obviously ripped off in PS.....Dude knows how to skate some marble 4 sure.
-
The man put in some serious effort. It's a shame he got robbed of a real part. I feel like buying his board now.
As for the music, maybe they were playing off the songs from his eSpecial and Yeah Right! parts? A disco/groove/soul sort of feel.
Also, I'm wondering where the footage of this trick is...

-
that was pretty good, he skates china spots pretty properly. i never noticed how he was going through the bushes on that last big fs bluntslide, that was rad.
-
i still don t understand why they didn t just put out 2 videos with a little time span in between each release
would have put more shine on each team
-
That was great.
Now give me a Kenny Anderson part.
-
another shit edit from crailtap, why am i not surprised
-
All the long-ass grinds and slides were just generally stellar.
-
They should've just done b-sides for everyone, like Emerica did.
-
That was a great part
-
Soo sick!!! And I'm a huge Daft Punk fan, so that song was rad for me... oh, and fuck Ty Evans.
-
FUCK YOU TY EVANS
-
I wonder if his warmup is still nollie nosegrind.
-
That was pretty good, but at the same time I can see why it didn't fit as being a solo part in the video. That seemed like it was all filmed in pretty much like one trip to China. You could say he got robbed but it looked like he was never meant to have a part in the first place.
-
WHAT THE FUCK! That was the shit on so many different levels!
-
Skating was good, filming mediocre and a shitty edit using a generic song. Sounds like Crailtap to me.
-
He;s a great example of why filming videos for 5 years is fucking stupid. A great skater, and his board company puts out two videos in his ten year career. No matter how good he is, we missed a huge chunk of the prime of his career because they wanted to build hype and do a huge production.
-
I was gonna make a post about slap conducting a nuremberg trial for ty evans but that would be pretty tasteless
-
yea i agree fuck ty evans, but everyone saying that does know that it wasnt edited by him, right?
-
Eldridge crushes. All that footage was so good.
Not feeling the song, but he's a partyboy, so I guess it makes sense.
-

Gotta agree with you here. Going for the next "Questionable" is getting old, i.e. Fully Flared, Pretty Sweet and Plan B, of course. Make a compilation of the "Greatest skateboard stunts #29" for the general public every 5 years, but give real skate videos to skate rats every two years max.
-
when i think of music and skateboarding the first thing that comes to mind is daft punk, then shakira is right behind there.
Shh, be careful there - don't give them ideas...
-
Already too late. You're on for the whole program.Next is david guetta, christina aguilera and miley cyrus.
-
Pretty good part, but then again nothing too crazy or better than the other parts, but they could have cut the jack black shit and put this there instead. The song was ok, nothing to complain about. Also almost all the footage was from china, which should be fucking illegal IMO. You can just as well go to your local skatepark to do tricks on perfect knee high hubba ledges with no cops or security.

This.
-
Good style. He was burnt for sure. You could tell it even from his part in PS.
At least I got to see the Trunk Boyz slow-mo shotgun beers though. So sick.
Oh, and Jack Black.

I love the way he rides after landing fakie.

This and a Gino part? And a B.A Part? Wut?
Also, Eldridge Bluntslides are so fucking proper.
-
Sucks that as long as he's been on Chocolate this is the most footage we've seen. He's really good and glad to see more than single switch rail tricks which seemed all we saw.
A friend has told me that he's got a bad knee which has prevented him from producing alot but didn't seem to have an issue in China. Hopefully his knee is just temporary.
-

If you think this is the shittiest song known to man you've been living in outer space.

Spot on.
As for the song, I'm not a daft punk fan but I get why people are. The song should compliment the skating and bring the edit to the next level, and this one didn't do any favors to the part. It was just a song that was there. Were I a more patient man, I'd Manolo this part to Cosmic Dancer.

You gotta crack a few eggs to make an omlette there gipper.
I'm really excited to see this. I could watch him skate all day. Those switch front blunts are so beautiful. He seems healthy; I bet he'll have another part. It's not like he's jumping down 12 stairs.
-
I highly enjoyed that! Especially that hurricane shove and the nose blunt on the wave. Filming all that and the majority of it on the cutting room floor. I'd be pissed/frustrated.
And to top it off, his girlfriend/wife is hot as hell
-

He's also one of the nicest people I've ever met. Not nicest skaters, nicest people. He treats everybody like he's been friends with them all his life.
-
I can't even remember the last time that I saw new Eldridge footy. He has SO MUCH control on all of his grind/slide combos.

I'm hoping that smaller videos with only select members of the team start dropping more often. Emerica's already getting it going.
Still, I'd like to see large scale production pieces alongside smaller focused projects.

Justin you lucky son of a bitch.
-
i liked the part.
i liked the song.
i liked it.
-
The Front Seat Man.
He is a first rate skateboarder. I can't decide if his terrific work being relegated to web clip status is a pity or good thing.
-
glad he gave up the nollie heel nose slides
-
Sick one Crailtap. Looking forward to the next "skaters we fucked out of part" series
-
put a smile on my face and made me wanna go skate. no complaints.
-
It's becoming more and more clear that there was some serious dissension among the crailtap people about how the Pretty Sweet production was handled. MJ posted an instagram promoting Justin's re-edit and someone commented:
"And so it becomes an 'online part' gotta suck to put in all that work and not have it in the final product. And probably because of one dude's tantrum."
MJ then replied to that comment saying "you nailed it. Thank you. Right [justin]?" These guys are clearly pissed at someone about what went down, and the most likely candidate is Ty Evans, especially in light of the fact that he left the company shortly after the film was released and appeared to have fired some shots on his way out. I have to think we'll be getting the full story in an epicly later'd or something sometime soon.
-
dude just became one of my favorites, that was soo Ill!
-
that was great, good for him.

He didn't seem to have put in anywhere near as much work as what all the dudes that had full parts did thou. He could have had a shared part with Bieber, while Jeron having a full part. Ty (or somebody else) clearly seems to have upset a lot of crailtap people, but the whole project just seemed fucked from the start. How can you make a skate video with 22 people on it without leaving stuff out of it, and getting somebody upset for not getting the attention they were expecting
-
song sucks. ty sucks. skatings awesome. thread over.
-
I got a Brazzers account password for the first person to gif that nollie noseblunt
-
Great part, and sucks for Justin to not have it in the video. Girl/Chocolate combined is way too much for one video, they should have released it as two separate things.
-
^ Or threw away the Jack Blacks, the Will Artnetts and the skits.
-
So, does everybody get a re-edit? hope so.
-
Instantly became my favorite part of the "video".

You make a Girl video, and you make a Chocolate video. They probably would have made more of their money back, and everybody would've had their moment. Release them close together and everybody gets what they put into it.
-
Or since maintaining the Girl/Chocolate family vibe is so important, release two videos that have a mix of people from each team, young guys and vets, montages of people who didn't have full parts, etc and release them in quick succession.
-
^ Or threw away the Jack Blacks, the Will Artnetts and the skits.
The skits in Girl/Choc vids used to be good up to and including Yeah Right. They shit the bed with the ones in P.S., the suit montage seemed like a bad commercial and the Jack Black/Will Arnett sections seemed to have no thought go into them at all.

The long switch back tail was probably my favourite.
Switch front blunt seems like a really easy way to eat a lot of shit.

from a ty evans interview
How many copies have you sold of Pretty Sweet so far?
A good chunk. I could tell you Fully Flared was the best selling skate video of all time, and Pretty Sweet is basically at those same numbers at this point, 2 months in. So it will be the best selling skate video?
im pretty sure girl made a bunch of money on pretty sweet
-
I feel like that whole MJ instagram comment stuff could just be mj being a saracastic fuckhead but fuck if I know. Imagine in some alternate dimension Justin Eldridge was on Cliche and this was his part in Bon Voyage, that would be very awesome
-
on the topic of ps re edits...Rosemary's Baby x Pretty Sweet (mostly)
you better go down below miss (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xup2TuKhca4#ws)
