Fun little look at some famous Heath ledges at UCI at the beginning of Jerry Seinfeld’s Unfrosted

I just came here for this, I wasnt sure, I was looking if there was a thread here.

Forgot to amend it, that those ledges are prominent throughout the whole movie

Finally finished Dead To Me.

I love Christina Applegate so much. The show was funny and surprising to the end.

Linda Cardellini crushed it.

I was digging 3 body problem until the unnecessary gun fight. They also did Nick Frost dirty.
Before you say the music sucked, have you considered shutting the fuck up?

The acting is ace! but I am not so sure about the story ...at times it was just inconsistent.
without spoilers ...certain people decide to play a VR game that triggered someone to self delete in the first ep and all because "the tech"...enjoyed when they were in the game the most tbh

Bodkin on Netflix is fun

Dark Matter (Apple) will give it a chance.   Read the book in 2017 and remember it being fine but didn’t remember any plot points.   Felt ahead of the story in the first two eps but I’m giving the benefit of the doubt

Yeah, I'm wondering? Is it that, or is he hallucinating? Guess we'll have to tune in next week to find out! Would explain the inability to get drunk I suppose.

Yeah it’s weird but I guess it makes that a lot of things make more sense, weirdly

But I hate his name now bc it’s giving me Edgar from MiB vibes

Welp. The twist is the twist.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

A Man In Full was surprisingly not good.   Kind of ended up being a bunch of storylines that didn’t converge into anything and it’s fairly certainly to be the only season so it makes less sense than Palm Royale’s blatant attempt to stretch things out well past the point

Plowed through Tokyo Vice last week. I'm on the hype train!  Hoping enough latecomers skew the numbers up and they decide to renew and so some promo for season 3. Probably never would have gotten to it if it wasn't for this thread.

Which season did you like better?

I've thought about it for a minute and I can't honestly say I noticed a huge difference between the two seasons, maybe because I binged it. Season 2 has a couple of diversionary storylines that wind up being critical eg. The Motorbike Gang or the return trip to Missouri that at first felt like they were going for a one and done story but of course we know how those wound up. I particularly like how Maruyama's relationship with her brother echoes Jake's relationship with his sister. On one hand, we want him to go do the right thing. On the other hand, we see how that has worked out for Maruyama. I think we only got those side stories because they expanded the episode count from 8-10. I dunno...I was into it all!

I thought the pacing was excellent over the entire show, the whole thing felt like a building dynamic and complete story. Early on, character development and setting were the focus, once the stakes were clear for all the main characters, the action felt necessary. I can't see this having a third season, felt pretty complete, no?
Does anyone know hiw closely the show follows the memoir?
Sato was my fav character, acting was great.

(Bear in mind it’s been 5+ years) I don’t remember him ever getting that close to the actual Yakuza players so I don’t really recall the blonde girl or her boyfriend being actual people that he had relationships with.  But he did have a cop buddy and the newsroom guys and he reported on yakuza stuff without a personal stake

I liked the 1st season the most because of the relationship with japanese cops, I had a run in with cops when I was in Japan (forgot my passport -your supposed to carry it at all times in japan) and they are actually pretty cool with my interactions with them...one dude tried to help me find a hotel my first night.

Also it was actually cool to see modern aikido in that 1st season

Caught up on the sympathizer last night, I am enjoying it and had a few lol moments
