Wafflecup talk leads me to ask: do they wear out just as quickly as regular vans pro soles? Said it elsewhere ad infinitum but The only thin that has taken me away from vans is how fast I wear through the sole.

I'd hope so, theyre cupsoles and by design, theyre suppose to be thicker and longer lasting than Vulcs.

They are his colorway.  Due in Spring.  Interesting there’s a Vans tab on the back.  Fine for this model, but wouldn’t want it to catch on

this shoe is obviously a homage to crispy chicken tenders with ranch dressing, the tenders being represented by the brown leather, the dressing being immortalized by the fresh white sole. the black foxing stripe representing black pepper corn.

I'm on the half cab / wafflecub train too. If they made them with mesh sides it'd be perfect. Half cabs are crazy hot and need some vent technology. At least those brown ones are canvas in the inner panels.

It's more stable in the heel area - all the impact absorption comes from the insole, so about the same cushion - and they are about as grippy as the other pro outsoles, but not grippier.

I honestly felt almost no difference between Wafflecup and a regular Vans vulc. The cushion is the same - like the vulcs, there is no midsole, and the cushioning all comes from the insole. It's the same insole that's in the regular pro vulcs. And I didn't find it very stable or supportive. Maybe like 5% more supportive than a regular Vans pro vulc, which is way too floppy for me. Still a very thin/floppy sole, even in the heel. The grip feels pretty much the same to me. Your results may vary, but for a 'cup/vulc hybrid;' to me (someone who prefers cups), it's like 97% vulc and 3% cup.

if i got a package with a louie vitton shoe box that looks like it's been tagged by a dyslexic child with my name barely written right saying i should peek deep inside i'd not only be pissed someone ruined resale value, i'd suspect something very sus and would probably book a flight just so i can run that thing through xray customs to make sure it's nothing dangerous, at which point they will find drugs in the box or in the shoes themselves and at that point i'm fucked.

They're here. Honestly the Sabbath branding is pretty subtle. They feel a lot like a Nike Dunk High. Maybe a little less padding around the collar.
