bukowski [german immigrant] was pro german. burn your copies of women and post office.
sid vicious had swaztikas at times too. i think it was more of an anarchy symbol than racist. like identifying w/ the villain. give it time, it's meaning will continue to evolve and folks will find other things to be offended by.
Holy fuck you are stupid. Do you actually think you just made a good point? You do, don't you....hahahahaha, idiot.
Sid Vicious' swastikas are a trademark of Vivian Westwood's fashion at the time. Guess how psyched British people were to see that kind of imagery less than 20 years after the Nazi's bombed the fuck out of them?
Fuck evolving racist iconography. Scrub that shit from the books.
you're right. let's erase the stuff we don't like to keep it from happening again. books burn at 451 f.
it's definitely flags and not authoritarianism and followers that is the problem.
I guess if we don't let people wear swastikas for fashion only we're erasing history completely. I didn't know that.
Also while we're talking about people who have openly racist symbols can we talk about how cody mcentire has a confederate flag tatted on his arm?
i've turned around on the confederate flag a little. as a northerner, i grew up like 'they lost get over it' but do you think the union soldiers were 'heros' freeing the blacks?
cause while yes, they did that, they were drafted. if you could pay $300 or whatever you could avoid conscription so the poor southerners fought the poor northerners at the behest of the rich southern and norhterners.
so if there's a vietnam memorial and every other unjust war memorial, maybe there can be memorials to dead confederate soldiers?
not that i give a shit about memorials, soldiers or any of it.
also, getting drafted to fight to free the slaves, how is that not slavery?
yes, i do get the implications of the good ol' general lee when a lot of poor white people rock it, i'm just saying history isn't so simple as moral north/bad south.
and if it is, should every free black person thank a northern soldier?
that's almost more degrading.
also, the american flag represents genocide and fuckery across the globe, why is nobody offended by that?
i'm just asking for consistency.
