couple of deck questions... late 90's early 00's?
« on: June 06, 2011, 07:11:43 AM »
Thought this would be the best place for deck knowledge... does anyone know what Appleyard's first pro board for flip was, or what the board that Johnny Rotten is holding in his Sorry intro is? I have reasons for wanting to know other than trivia, gonna go through old issues of Sidewalk to see if i can find some adverts if not, though even if i find out i guess its doubtful i'll actually be able to get hold of one. thanks in advance anyway.

it was appleyards board from the "new wave" series from 2001/2002... this is the graphic

its called "appleyard new wave". it wasn't his first pro board on flip, his first one said "MARK" on it and had a canadian flag on the nose.
now buy me beer.

wasn't that new wave one in a series, where they were all dressed up in various "styles"? I used to like New Wave construction, but it seems to have gone by the wayside. Used to skate those Firm Burnquist 8.5" ones all the time.
