Title: Car Modification
Post by: TimmyB88 on June 29, 2021, 01:47:38 PM
I feel like being a car enthusiast goes hand and hand with skateboarding sometimes.
Anyway, what ya guys driving? and do you modify your cars?

I have a 2017 Jetta GLI with some bolts ons, a tune and full suspension for the mountain drives.

Good threads, but wanted to focus more on the modification side of things.

I've got an 07 outback with 3" body lift from Anderson Design Fabrication. Pretty minimal mod but with some AT tires, its practically unstoppable. Great daily driver and better for the hills. Its like driving a small SUV

Got a 2016 Fiesta ST200. Stock.

If I was in UK, my ass would be at Mountune straight away. I still have a year warranty and doubt they'll like me fucking around with mods, even though Ford actually has a 300 HP engine warranty through some partners in UK.

Don't want to sacrifice reliability so was thinking a remap+ exhust+some filter, maybe?

Also, gas prices are fucking insane in Sweden, so there is an upper limit, for sure. Oh, yeah, I don't have a garage, so I would need to pay for labor too. But I'm actually happy with stock, it it was 4x4, I'd never sell it, ever.

Just watch all the fast and furious movies.  The only way to go.

All the JDMs are beyond crazy priced. 20k+ for Evo's in the shittiest of state... Damn 30 somethings with disposable income.

I was just joking.  I think those cars are so rediculos looking and sounding.  I dig tasteful mods though.

Hahaha

GLI's are sweet dude. I drive an MK6 GTI and it's stock right now, only because I had to pay a shitload out of pocket to fix timing assembly and rear main seal a year after buying it. However, I am building up a little chunk of change to go APR stage 1 soon!
