DC is a skate company and always will stick by skaters, believe it or not they are maybe the most "core"(I know everyone hates that word but can't think of a better one), most core company making shoes right now. If you say fuck the major companies what are you left with? DC is the only one that stands a fighting chance in this game, cause it is a game, and if you think you ain't playn' then you ain't with the game

Would have to agree on the durability factor super suede seems to be one of the only gimmicks that actually has value.

not gonna lie it could be argued. I haven't even skated any of the new DC's but I've heard nothing but good things about them, and after trying them on I can definitely tell it's high quality shit. I mean really tho, how man companies are putting out consistently good shoes that're actually built and designed for skating? Lakai, Emerica, Nike, Adidas, & DC. You might could throw in Cons,Supra, or HUF in there & i aint including vans til they start regularly making cupsoles but even still, the list isn't too large. All the pro model shoes in their lineup have been given praise & good reviews since they came out. I wouldn't say so myself, but it could definitely be argued that DC is the best. They're in the discussion for sure

Isn't DC owned by Billabong or some shit?
-
Well, they're clearly better than Vans, Lakai and Sole Tech's stuff (I skated Cabs and G6 this year).
Probably Adidas too.
Leaving just Nike.
Probably not too far off the mark of a statement.

No. oh, and you are a kook.

The correct answer is......'I'd love to get a pair but I'm currently blacklisted'.....
-
I loved them when I could steal them outta Ryan Gallant's box. Cause I'm a shitcunt.

I like those pictures of the horrible looking DC shoes and the girl looking to try a pair of DC's on, they're kind of funny. If you think about it though, every shoe company out there sells something that appeals to non-skaters which ultimately helps these companies to continually support their skateboard team riders. DC makes horrible looking mall shoes, as does Vans, Osiris, Nike, Adidas. Huf sells weed socks, Emerica and Lakai have had some Zumiez customer favorites, and I doubt most people go to a Nike/ Adidas outlet to support skating from my observations. Doing this kind of shit does free up a lot of cash flow to support some of your favorite skateboarders, and DC treats their team riders particularly well when its re-up time for contract negotiations and constant direct support. They're known for paying skateboarders some of the highest salaries in our industry.
I'm not going to bullshit you like I own a closet full of them, but I can understand why. Everyone that owns the new Kalis shoe or has seen the newest Cole shoe says they're great for skating and actually last a while, which is an anomaly in today's skate shoe market where kids have to spend another $60 on some cheap vulc sole after a couple of sessions. I could give a shit if they have a wake board team or some kooky shit like that, because it really doesn't effect me since I don't pay attention to it. However, I do notice when they pick up a new rider, help make a new skatepark, or participate in skateboard events that bring more money/ attention to what we do. I'm not agreeing with our kooky ass original poster ever, since 'best skate shoes' have different meanings and expectations for different skaters, but if you balanced the good and the bad that they've contributed on a scale I'd say the good outweighs the bad by a long shot. I wouldn't mind skating those newer red/ white-gum Chris Cole shoes, or the Kalis Centric S.

I dunno, Skechers and LA Gear are right up there with DC as far as "core" shoe brands go

No, really, I skated both. Am I wrong?

Alls I'm saying is, the Kremer pro is one of the best shoes I've ever skated. Will buy again
-
They sure go great with my Nyjah board, monster hat, red pants, and trust fund check

Can't Lie, that Uni lite stuff and how soft the insoles are, how tough the leather is. Your right man. I like other companies better but I have skated lots of DC's lately and they really do rule.
