Pointless to compare the masters of mid 90's hip-hop. Hate it or love it, they ruled it for a good 3 or 4 years.

I love them both. I only wish Biggie had the work ethic of Tupac. But... after just ONE album, the world loved him. That's just incredible there. Tupac really shined after his death, although I say Me Against The World is his best album. I cannot deny the ridiculous work ethic of Tupac. 10 years later, and there is still about 100 unheards in the vault. Not leaked at all. If they made albums of all the stuff that has leaked [that hasn't hit postmuthous albums yet], he could still have material for another 5 years. Then hit the unheards. It's just ridiculous. Both legacy's are getting completely ruined though. Duets? Fuck outta here with that shit. Loyal To The Game? Pac's Life? Stop remixing pac and big's work and putting fuckers like Young Buck and Chamillionaire on the tracks! Leave 'em be!

Sorry man, just never did... I was more in Wu Tang and Hieroglyphics and shit like that when everyone was jockin' Pac and BIG. I respect both, but I don't own any of the CD's or anything.

i find it really hard to believe that tupac is that respected. i feel like people only like him because he's dead. name one really good tupac song. like an anthem. and then name one where you can't give the credit to dre for the beat. biggie has way more songs and such better lyrics. i'm backing biggie, and never felt tupac.

But honestly, I'll give it to you that Tupac didn't have an... anthem like Biggie did multiple times. But why use that to measure who is "better?" It's fucking worthless. That's like saying 50 Cent is better than [insert your favorite under the radar rapper here] because he sells more on his singles. But I do, however, see where you are going. But I can name a shitload of songs made by Pac that are "really good" to me. But there it is again, to ME, not you, not anyone else. Neither are the best in my book, both are just incredible talented rapper. If I could chose one to listen to for the rest of my life, it would have to be Tupac. Music for days and music for every occasion. As fucking incredible as RTD and LAD are to me (I'm not even going to bother putting Duets and Born Again in there), that's only like 30... 35 songs of original material [not counting those collabo's that made it to other albums/singles]. Great material, at that. I just wish he recorded more!
