Bam is a pretty good nickname. So is Neen. Both of these skaters had these names long before they even started skating, so maybe that shouldn't count.
Lizard King is good since you have to be a pretty big fan of his to even know his real name. I respect his commitment to it. It would be pretty weak if he tried to go with Mike Plumb at this point (that's his name right?). The Jim Morrison reference is pretty lame, though.
Slash is pretty weak too. The world already has a heavy metal Slash. It's like if a skater tried to call himself King Diamond or something. I guess that isn't fair since I'm cool with Reynolds being The Boss. Seems like Slash has been slowly trying to make sure Brian Hansen gets in there too.
I also like how Beagle is named after Josh Beagle. Kinda gets inception with it. A skate nickname referencing another skateboarder.
I'm surprised there aren't more skaters trying to go with one name nicknames.
Birdman (created by ESPN) is the worst nickname, easily. Donger is pretty bad, considering its origins.
Clearly Ollie is the most significant nickname in skateboarding history. To think we all could have been doing "Alan"s this whole time (or "Nalan"s off the nose). Or better yet, "Gelfand"s.
I think about skateboarding way too much.
