I thought it was good overall. Didn’t necessarily agree with everything he said but he actually came of as pretty cool and candid. Seems like because joa’s not a pro skater, cephas and dono interacted more in this one, the conversation sounded pretty natural for an interview

I listen to podcasts instead of watch YouTube so have never gotten into GH. Sounds like a solid enough guy tho. Enjoyed the ep and the friendly Ryan lay and Jerry Hsu jabs.

Honestly he’s cooler now hearing he doesn’t get paid by sci fi. He’s gotta good take on his situation, a lot better than 99% of influencers really. He just a cool homie and it’s good to have an outside perspective that can hate on skating again that still has insider knowledge. Skating has gotten too positive and he’s a breath of fresh air, hating is a necessary evil but, I’m also a huge asshole with a lot of opinions so obviously I fuck with him.

Even those of you out there who hate on the Gifted one would have to admit he has a very sharp wit and is self-deprecating/self-aware. I think he'd make an excellent comedy writer, especially for a skate-centric audience.

If I ever return to Salt Lake City (it's been 27 years), I definitely want to check out Vantage Vintage. That was a great answer to the "Dream Sponsor" Rapid Fire question.

The malto episode was pretty entertaining man. Crazy that he got offered 800k from DC a year but still chose to go ride for Nike for a lower salary!

Makes me wonder how set Wes is considering he had a pro shoe during that time, won SOTY, etc. and is noted for not spending any of his earnings. If he was getting even half of that and just gave to any reasonable investment banker he probably has a pretty fat stack sitting in the bank by now.

Malto episode was surprisingly good. I wasnt expecting too much since he hasn’t been on my radar. Would love to hear more Biebel and Welsh stories haha. Been enjoying the random skater segment they’ve been doing recently

Appreciate the longer episodes wish they were regularly similar length but I guess not everyone has as much to say. Malto ep was gold. Til next season!

The category is called most talented skater, not most productive, gnarly, or tech. Or even functional, for that matter. KB is supremely talented, no pun intended. Otherwise nobody would care that he seems to be pissing his best years away.
