I wonder how much Shelter paid for the rights to make world product? I bet he got a pretty sweet deal. I've seen the stray world deck on the skateshop/zumiez shelf, so it's I imagine its doing better AIN.

This was fine. I like this these more home spun felling skate videos.

This is in that zone where it would be a fun homie/independent project, but as a video for a company with such a heavy legacy and history like World it feels flat.

They did tricks on spots that have been heavily one-upped years ago.

Damn World Industries still exists??

It always trips me out that when older pros in interviews are talking about "World" back in the day and how it was the coolest brand. The brand and the graphics were so much different than the World I grew up with. Like two totally different companies. Even those old pros only refer to it as "World". I'm 32 and starting skating in the early 00's so World Industries to me was always Flameboy and Wet Willy. I can't imagine how anyone could be stoked on that brand in 2024.

^same. as an early 2000's recruit, finding out that world used to be the shit was the biggest shock to me when i got caught up on 90s skate history. like 'the fucking cartoon brand? they had an actual team?'
