Black Label's Lucero Racing Stripe 10” x 32.875“ set up with the 15.5WB
Independent Stage 8 with Bones Soft bushings and Riptide Pivot Cups (Original plastic components had blown out)
Spitfire Formula Four Conical Full 55mm
Bones Swiss Bearings
Shorty's Hardware
Mob Griptape
Independent 1/4" Riser Pads

Happy with how this wide ride came together and my inner child is hyped on the matching colors and sticker job. Thanks for the board suggestion Yourbreakfsat and Uncle Poseur. Also scooped the Antihero Ol Yeller for when this board eventually comes to it's end.

Hell yeah man, looks fun!

Rick Howard Skull of Fame 9.25x32x13.875 (I think it's the Powerslide shape)
Matte black 55s
F4 classic 101a 56mm

It's the widest board i've ever owned by a long shot, but the shape feels tiny.  the aces pull it in super tight, i don't know if i like that yet, pretty keen to get a proper skate in on it

ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA HOW WIDE THIS COUCH SHAPE IS OVER THE TRUCKS? WONDER IF I COULD SWING 44'S OR 149'S ON IT....

i haven't bolted them on, but i held 149s up to it and they look fine, if you run a wider wheel like a conical full or whatever then you won't go wrong

Every board on this page so far looks fun as fuck! I just put rails on my Polar 1991.
Man the long board truck thing killed indy for me. I was willing to set aside the racism, but long boarding, gtfo... - DH

Anyone else feel like it's hard to find a good variety of 9 inch popsicle decks? My last 10 or so boards have been Baker and Anti Hero because those are the only ones I can consistently find that don't have awful overly hesh fat dude graphics on some Creature shit. If Hockey or FA started making bigger boards I would exclusively skate those, I'd even settle for an 8.75 honestly

quasi does an 8.75 popsicle, I feel that though.

put rails on my dan's rig krooked board, only got to try the rails once and it was pretty weird, not used to that extra slickness, been years since I've tried rails. gotta say though, slappy boardslides are so fun, been missing out.

I'd be down for Quasi

I'm lowkey gonna try to start skating smaller boards again but I've been on a 9 for like 3 years now and anything smaller feels so wrong at this point

ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA HOW WIDE THIS COUCH SHAPE IS OVER THE TRUCKS? WONDER IF I COULD SWING 44'S OR 149'S ON IT....

somone DMed me about the Trukfit on the girl couch shape and I thought I'd share my measurements for anyone interested

Quote from: larryhagman
good question I was racking my brain over this a lot before getting the 55s for the deck.

anyway, the shape does taper, 9.25" is just the widest point at the center, my rough measurements are
8 and 15/16" over the front bolt holes toward the nose
9 and 1/8" over the front bolt holes toward the center

8 and 7/8" over the back bolt holes toward the center
8 and 5/8" over the back bolt holes toward the tail

since Ace 55 have a 9" axle they are pretty much perfect on this board.
Nothing sticking out, wheels almost flush, which I prefer

I initially set it up with Indy 149s which worked surprisingly well but is way too tippy and the magic carpet killed me.

be aware that the nose and tail feel really steep because of the 3 fingers of flat. nothing you can't get used to though.

hope this helps!

Nice! How do those Oj’s slide? I have some 56mm 101 mini combos that I thought would slide are a lot stickier than I thought. Curious how the 99 are because oddly enough my F4 99a’s always slide better than the 101’s I’ve tried. Wondering if it’s the same with ojs

They actually slide good I heard people complaining about them being too grippy but IMO they feel very similar to the spitfire F4 99a I just switched from.... nah nah.. they are way gripper I take it all back. Spitfire F4 are better. But the OJ 99s are good for cruising

The raised part of the grip up front makes your board look scared.

Nice set up, but I am going to need that grip tape fixxed at your earliest convenience. Please and thank you.

Lmao yes it looks raised (I even went to check and make sure right after I posted it) but no it was all flattened down... it really looks fucked in that in the picture for some reason here is another picture from the sametime 🤔 I am getting that grip twisting at the bolt thing tho sux

Ha thanks for the update! For real though nice setuo looks wicked fun. To avoid the grip twisting only spin the nut on to the bolts, by just turning the skate key or wrench and dont turn the screwdriver.

while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

I have a couch/powerslide shape (G048) like lysdexia (clever username, btw) has that I'm about to set up once my Indy 159s show up. I have 149s that could work... but may magic carpet a little in the front, but not so much in the back. With these dims, you could potentially get away with 149 (44s) at the tail and 159 (55s) in the front but that may be weird.
A way to minimize hot riding or magic carpeting that I'm going to try with my 149s/159s is either putting the 2 washers on the outside or the inside of the wheel to pull in the wheel or push it out to look more flush and see if that works out.

Here's photos with indy 149s for reference! Hope these help ya, alongside the actual measurements mentioned above.

not sure if i should set up 54mm or 56mm conical fulls. i don't ride transition. crappy streets, curbs. have 1/4" risers on 169s.. they felt super soft yesterday due to heat

I skate mostly street with 1/4 risers and 58 mm wheels

Do the 56 you’ll get used to the pop feel fast and they just feel faster and roll over more shit

yeah good call. Want a board with wheel wheels. Seems like this dane1 gonna be relegated for cruiser w keyframes. Use the conical full on the maybe popsicle I “may” try to learn something on and curb stuff

Never thought I'd be the "quiver" of boards kinda guy... but I just set this up for when I don't feel like getting ATV on my regular 8.5" popsicle or cruising on my tiny zip zagger.

- Chocolate Tershy Powerslide/Couch (G048) shape: 9.25" x 32" x 13.875"
- Mob Grip
- Indy 159 Hollows (standard baseplate not forged)
- Bones Easy Streets 55mm worn down to 51mm maybe?
- Bones Reds
- Indy hardware

Biggest board I've tried but this beast looks like so much fun to dork around and barge some curbs, tranny, etc. with! I have rails I may throw on if I feel like going full slappy with it. Lol
Will share my thoughts once I catch a session or two!

Thats a beauty.. Always wanted to try this shape but most local skateshop here only sells popsicle shapes.
