Back to my favorite shape
Polar 1991 9.25 x 32.4(my measurements)
Indy 159 standard hollow
Spitfire f4 56 classic 99
Shake junt bearings
Bender Allen
Jessup/mob
Rad rails
Blazer mids

Beautiful! I was eyeing that shape, but thought my 159s would be to short. How do you like em on it? I am inspired

What's your wheelbase measurement? would you recommend the polar 1991 shape for street skating and curbs? or?

14.4 wb, I can flip all my normal flip tricks no problem, skated this one a ton over the years.
I prefer 159s because it keeps it nimble. 169 sticks out in back, no thanks.

Heard so much about the Dane 1 that I had to try one myself. Ended up piecing it together with the new Indy mids, with soft conical bushings, 53mm Spits and some NOS NMBs.

The mids definitely have weight on em, but not to where I blame my set up if I suck. The height is perfect, turns like they should, could of dealt without the shield on the plate but it’ll come off in time.

The NMBs I found on eBay, and for 13 bucks they’re as good as Reds. Might be better with time but damn their smooth.

The tail is hella square but so far I’m diggin’ it.
[close]

That is a good looking setup, first I've seen of the (I'm assuming) 159 mids.
[close]

Yeah kit looks nice. Germans for $13! (Probably not germans, showing my age maybe, nmbs where the shit, probably still are. Skateboard bearing confound me....I just spun the wheels on my kids board and the spitfire cheap shots are faster than any of my assorted set ups that have reds, swiss etc)
[close]
Went through a spare parts box and came across a single NMB from Thailand. Spun it and it was better than any bearing I have currently set up.

Did some research and Thailand has great bearing factories. Dude on eBay sent em quick and it’s a nice change to not look at reds.

Skeptical because it’s NOS, not sure how long that sat and when I gave em a spin they were smooth but didn’t keep. Once set up they’re better than decent.

put in softer Indy 88a conical bushings with the new mids? How’s that going? Stock Indy feels softer than 90a to me but I’m 200lbs

Didn’t even give the stock bushings a chance in the mids. Conical soft bushing for life. I’m also struggling to weigh 130 lbs so there’s that.

Not to hijack your post with something non-skate related, but I was struggling to put on weight too.  Couldn’t get over 140 for the life of me.  I tried eating my way up, 1000-1500 calorie a day surplus, and it never worked.  Just made myself sick.

Starting lifting weights two to three days a week back in January and I’m at 157 lbs today.  I’ve never been able to put on weight by just eating more, but weightlifting definitely helped me bulk up.

Get a copy of Arnold’s autobiography “Total Recall” for inspiration.  I got a copy off eBay for less than $10, spent maybe $100 total on free weights, and started increasing my protein intake.  Give it a try, maybe.

Cheers!

Haha, finally a board that looks big under my giant feet! Wheel bites despite micro wheels look daunting, however.

This is generator? Cheap if so. The dimensions look good too.

That Black Label egg looks nice with the medium wheelbase. I would like to try a long egg, 15" WB with a good nose and tail.

I picked up a couple of the 10 inch popsicle 35th ave skate shop decks. They are great, but the tails are starting to razor now. 35th ave has been out of stock of the 10 inch popsicle for a while now. My question is what other shops have 10 inch popsicle shop decks?

Try Skull Skates, they have a ton of larger shapes
