Title: How to stop my board from spinning so fast
Post by: thomgraham4 on December 12, 2021, 04:00:46 AM
Every time I do a front shuv, my toes end up hanging off the end of the toeside rail when I land. I think this is because the board is spinning too fast and I don't have enough control over it. On my old board, which has a qaurter inch longer wheelbase, my front shuvs were fine and landed bolts. Does anyone know a way to make my board spin slower if it has a shorter wheelbase? Like a certain foot position or something? My wheelbase is 14" btw, and on my old deck it was 14.25

I would say to push downwards a little more than sideways, so the board pops up more than around quite so much.  It might take a bit of fine tuning, but a lot of people end up a bit too toe heavy on a lighter or smaller setup, so popping a little bit more like an ollie and less like a front shovit should even it out.

Curious to see how you go.
