The cuffed light jeans, toothpick, and Tami from 60 Days In haircut draw attention in a ridiculous way that demands to be acknowledged and commented on and it's so goofy looking it'll never be a nice conversation. He's not any less concerned about how he looks than like Sage or Sean Pablo, he just doesn't have any kind of taste. Not my fault.

Pretty much on point. Cody always looks like a teenage boy that won a shopping spree at Zumies. He's great at skateboarding, but not good to watch (IN MY OPINION).

cody macs run consisted of every single trick that he has wired, for every single contest. blunt 180 flip out was the only curve ball. fuck that toothpick and calculated image!
tiago did virtually all unexpected hammers. the commitment on a nollie inward heel back lip after that technically unprecedented run was super human. couldn't believe that shit.
lack of fucking with any transition is what could hurt him but honestly any one of those tricks was beyond a token back tail on the transition.

agree it's much harder from the side, but imo if it's not locked in perpedicular to the ledge then it isn't proper. it was basically an overcrook that missed.

Watching Coles reminded me why I love his skating, I love how he does tricks on ALL the obstacles in a contest format. Watching guys jump off the board to drop in where Cole does a staplegun (is that what it's called?) or some other lip trick makes him amazing to me. And the Hulk Hogan finish ;D

Yeah i hate how over-edited these things are. like the "Run." thing makes me cringe every time. You can tell they hire a lot of fresh-out-of-art-school kids who are chock full of new skills and get carried away by adding things.

I really liked it too, but will admit I am also biased towards PJ. He did not pick up his board at all though and it had a lot of tricks in it. The switch tre followed by the fakie flip was so good. The feeble fakie and pivot fakie. The switch flip on the quarterpipe at the end. So good.

Just finished watching a bunch of Bobby Puleo parts and watched this...so hyped...it couldn't help but standout, the white tee and his whole kit and approach felt like watching some east coast shit... There's like 3 different lines...The first line wins alone. Even if he doesn't win I'm still going to watch it over and over again.

They should list the number of attempts it took to land the line -- clearly the number is in the hundreds for some/most(?) of these guys.

PJ's was really sick, he's the first one for me to look like he's just skating around instead of trying to optimize each trick or whatever. It looked so much more natural than watching Fynn. Don't get me wrong Fynn skating is insane but I aint down with what looks like a video game challenge of get the best score hitting these 9 obstacles in 60 seconds.
Lemons is unfuckwithable he puts the two together, crazy video game tricks with good skating flow.

PJ's was really sick, he's the first one for me to look like he's just skating around instead of trying to optimize each trick or whatever. It looked so much more natural than watching Fynn. Don't get me wrong Fynn skating is insane but I aint down with what looks like a video game challenge of get the best score hitting these 9 obstacles in 60 seconds.
Lemons is unfuckwithable he puts the two together, crazy video game tricks with good skating flow.
I second all of this. Pjs was the first run that felt like a natural line (except maybe Even's). I thought it was great. But I also agree that compared to Tiago the level of PJs skating now is clearly last decade.

Whatever happened to the long awaited PJ part? I remember him sitting on footage ever since especial came out in 2007. I mean he's done a handful of amazing webparts but nowhere near his best and true potential.
Whats the point of saving clips that are lightyears ahead of their time for so long that modern skating catches up and causes the footage to be not as powerful ??? I've always been puzzled by this. Just give the people what they want every 2-3 years or so.

I get that he wants to put together the ultimate skate part but saving footage thats over 5 years old is totally unnecessary not to mention a career killer. Like are we going to get a 30 minute PJ part in the new Danny Way documentary, probably not but I can dream.
Where is all that footage gonna go? So disappointing to the point where it keeps me up at night. :'(

i think tech skating got too tech for pj and whatever he managed to get over the past few years isnt mindblowing like it used to be. sure, everyone just wants to see him skate, but my theory is that pj set the bar way too high for himself and hes at a point where the bar for tech skating is rising faster than he is progressing.
same thing for danny way. whatever part we get from either of these two probably wont be the part anyone is dreaming of.

Prod is so fucking good. That switch back 3 was bananas..and like 90% of his line was switch. I see a lot of concern for PJ on here, but to me it just looks like he's tired from a long day trying to put together a decent line. I think some people forget how tough that contest really is.
Also, I just rewatched them all from the beginning, and I don't know how I missed it the first time, but I just noticed Cody's line was way over a minute. Are they gonna count that nollie big heel?
