Alexis is a fucking boss.
-
How to make the Vans video look like over-hyped, corpo-vans-store, steamy garbage in 123.
Alexis is on fire. Too much power.
I know cons is corpo also but at least shit has solid replay value.

well this was a nice surprise.
Alexis may have the best switch flip I've ever seen. Rivals Janoski.
-
banger! love a new jake johnnson clip. alexis is sick. louie is the man! rip Ben Raemers!
edit: ben chadourne is the sickest!!! mvp
-
Luv when vids drop out of nowhere like this, that was really good. I always forget just how stacked the Cons team is. Alexis is great and her flip tricks are perfect.
I’m assuming Ben Chadourne picks the music for their vids and if so, he has great taste. Loved hearing Television Personalities.
Louie Lopez might have the best trick selection in skateboarding.
-
How old is Alexis? Damn, she got even got better. My favorite part from a female skateboarder. Also, Louie's ender is insane. A pleasant surprise from Cons.
-
Alexis part is better than the whole vans video god damn
-
Everyone got a solid clip, Louie really laid down the hotness. A wild Jake Johnson appeared. Manderson had some standouts
-
This is so sick.
Alexis is putting in so much work right now. Proper flick while hauling ass.
JJ clips are always solid.
And Louie killed it. Ender was crazy, as was his technical lines while also hauling said ass.
-
Alexis killed it! Loved to see TG and Gerwer back to back in the montage. Louie's part was also very solid!
-
that was great
CONS definitely has the best team/filmer/image out of all the big shoe companies.
Highlights for be were the Delatorre line (5-0, nollie tre), all of Alexis and Louie's part, and the Tommy G and Frank back to back. Sage's clips were fucked too.
-
I was waiting for the footage of that Baca Fakie flip, stoked to finally see it! This was really good.
-
Louie Lopez might have the best trick selection in skateboarding.
Yup.
Alexis had a great opener, 34yrs old and just keeps getting better!
Why is not displaying names a trend now? Didn't recognize half the people in the first montage. Don't know what they're trying to achieve with it, but feels like a disservice to everyone involved
-
Louie just doesn’t miss. Alexis is also on a roll but that whole thing was so good.
-
Idk if whoever got him on Flip saw the vision or just a lil kid who kind of ripped but most of us are eating our words with all that shit we talked about Flip sponsoring nothing but little kids because he grew into one of this gens best.
-
"Alexis is siiiiiiiiick"
-Wild Will.
-
Holy shit that was good, alexis killed it and that louie back 5-0 frontside flip line was insane
-
Great edit, Alexis and Louie both really came through, and the rest of the team had good footage. Loved Bobby's trick at the Pyramid Ledges. Cons has done a great job of having a sizable team, but that also maintains a brand image.
-
That was good
Starting with Alexis (her style looks so powerful I love it)
Filling the middle with most of the team (JJ!)
Finishing with Louie (damn !!)
Great soundtrack
Great editing, props to Ben Chadourne
I think this video is a great example of blending American and European skateboarding together
-
Alexis is by heaps and bounds my fav female skateboarder.
Great little video piece, mind you Ben Chadourne has never done me wrong.
I love Television Personalities and the Breeders, Louie's songs were a little strange to say the least
-
Wasn't really wanting to skate in 40 degree temps but after watching that, yeah. Alexis' part was so fucking good, that switch flip! Everything about this edit was great, they have a solid things going on at Cons.
-
Damn - sick video. That's got to be the best part yet by a female skater, proper. Louie is nuts. Back 360 the dumpster was amazing.
-
the pole jam flip !!
-
in conclusion, cons has the coolest team of all the shoe companies. hands down.
-
What happened to Al Davis? Did he have some crazy injury he never really came back from?
-
I'm not even through the whole video yet and I think I have already enjoyed watching it more than anytime I watched Purple. Way better then the Vans video. The line up is too good.
-
Holy shit that was good, alexis killed it and that louie back 5-0 frontside flip line was insane
I had to rewind. Insane.
-
i just wanted to point out that louies pants look perfect (even more compared to the protagonists in the vams video lol)
-
(https://i.makeagif.com/media/11-27-2020/ToC8f3.gif) (https://www.slapmagazine.com/gif/beast-ToC8f3)
Detroit LEGEND. If you've seen David on the streets you know.
I watched Louie's ender so many times. The execution of that was nuts.
-
holy fucking shit, alexis killed it! that speed and power, that switch game(!), sooooooooooo sick.
the whole video had a really cool vibe, and i like that everyone had some shit in it(al davis on the motorcycle?).
was that manderson doing those three sets in the alleyway? that shit was gnarly as hell, nearly shat my pants.
when i saw eddie cernicky i was hoping for more footage of him, but every trick of that dude is gold.
raney had good stuff as well, everyone had cool shit. the team is so big, it was like one big "ah yeah, that dude rides for cons, too, sick."
louis is probably one of the best skaters of his generations, probably up their with ishod. that line with the super quick bs 5-0 frontside flip out, that trick alone was done like wtf. skateboards have no other choice than to submit when under this dudes feet.
ben chadourne killed it with this one, i have nothing to complain in terms of filming or editing, or even music.
also thx for not featuring jason jessee

Dude, I hope they are paying Montoya.

God damn Lou how do you look that good on a board and go that big
-
So sick. Alexis raw street skating is the best thing. And great “timing” with Alexis on Alltimers and this vid dropping - Alltimers should have printed more boards!!
in conclusion, cons has the coolest team of all the shoe companies. hands down.
Best team, worst shoes. They’ve bought up a rad squad with Nike Inc money, but haven’t bothered to actually invest in design/proshoes. Is it only Louie with a pro model? And just a sea of colourways. Very Nike. They buy up all the coolness, but have no intention of developing pro based products. Missed opportunity. Cons have been in skate for a long time (Chany Helium represent) but still have nothing exciting to show for it.
That said, all will be forgiven if Alexis keeps getting shine! 8)

I was loving this video and not sure exactly why and then I saw the credits with Ben Chadourne’s name. Dude always kills it, presents great skating in the perfect way.
Alexis took some serious slams. Glad they put them in and kept it real
-
Can't hate on that.
Anyone know which shirt Cromer is wearing here?

Alexis was bananas. Baca fakie flip was fucked. Louie is just a machine. His ender was silly.

Alexis is the best, I hope she gets the creative channel through Alltimers and Cons that she wants and deserves.

its a good year to be called alexis
-
can we stop using footage of skaters high fiving cops please.
Other than that, Baca's trick was fucked and Louie is just too good. Would love a Bobby, JJ (guest trick here and there), Brad Cromer and Sage video
Louie's ender is insane
-
Incredible
Glad to finally see Jake's sw bs noseblunt in baltimore too
-
Damn it seemed like there was gonna be a Guy trick but it was just him riding back from trying a trick.
Alexis killed it.

Alexis is so good, she's aged like fine wine. I could see her part upping the ante in the girl's game. Was her ender a reference to Elissa in Welcome to Hell? That looks like its the same weird pyramid thing she ollies into.
Manderson footy is always nice to see, good to know everything he still looks good at everything he does on a skateboard
Milton is still a crazy person.
I didn't know Danny Montoya Tommy G and Frank were repping Cons that was a nice surprise
Louie's part was crazy good. I'm not good enough at skating to wrap my head around how you catch flip tricks into walls as good as he does it, especially over a bump to bar. I don't think he's overtaken Mason but he's definitely making it a conversation. Imo, its now was the content of Louie's 2 parts better than the content of Mason's 4?

No, it’s Mason’s year. Louie is cementing his place as an allstar, but the only thrasher t-eddy award he’s up for is “lifetime dental plan”.
-
Amazing edit and totally unexpected, Alexis homage to Elissa was beautiful.
-
It would be sick if they just gave it to Louie. He's like if Nyjah was cool.
-
Great vid. Start to Finnish. Will re watch
-
It can't be overstated how thoroughly this stole Vans' thunder.
This is a really, really fun video. Take note the importance of having a team montage in there.
Also, in my opinion, best part by a woman since Marisa.
-
That was a very good video. Actually shocked at how much I enjoyed that. Really love this formula and the length is perfect.
Louie Lopez is unreal. Trick selection, style, execution. He has it all. Alexis really came through with some top tier skating as well. Montage with exactly the skateboarders you wanted to see in it. Great job Cons.
Look forward to @Tyroneshoelaces complaining about the zoom ad nauseam.
-
its a good year to be called alexis
-
That was so rad. I don't think there was a single clip that I wasn't stoked on.
I love Alexis' skating so much.
Left field take - Guy Mariano skating with Manderson... Guy on Krooked reunited with Gonzo <3
-
alexis really killed it, she has an amazing heelflip
neen might as well give it up
-
After the Berle clips and then seeing this it made me think that Sage is definitely inspired by Dylan with his trick choices but still seems like his own person which I like.
Alexis and Louie really killed it. That made me want to skate.
-
Instantly rewatched the entire video after it was over,
not a bad trick in the whole edit. Great songs and editing showed energy.
Alexis got me stoked to skate, loved Dane and Louie too.
Vans is always off the mark, every time. The direction and execution of the image is just a damn try hard supreme commercial.
Ben's edits make me wanna skate, he shows you what it's like to roll around with these people and presents it in a way that makes you feel good.
-
nice little surprise but i don't expect it to shake the SOTY race up too much
Alexis and Louie killed it, the rest felt more light/throwaway
not even the best Ben edit of this year and people think this is better than the most recent Vans video?? smh
-
this shit all over the vans vid imo
already rewatched
-
I have said many disparaging things about Louie Lopez in the past that I would now like to formally rescind. This part won me over. Those orange kicks :-*
Alexis crushed it. Ode to Elissa was most dope.
K-Rods clip was botched—why are you showing me this dudes face while he’s cruising through dirt? Show me MUD.
I loved Gil’s part but it’s pretty wild how much better this video is than the recent vans video.
Still never gonna skate a pair tho.
-

It took you up until now to realize he's one of the best ever?
-
The two parts + team montage formula seems to become more and more popular. Definetly well executed with this piece!
-

Everyone changes at their own pace.
It’s like a 27 year old finally realizing he shouldn’t say the n word, better late than never.
-
Its silly to compare but that Alexis part held my interest way more than Elijah Berle's Vans part. Fuck yeah to women's skateboarding.
-
Whole video is sick. Alexis got me stoked and the team montage was great. Wish we could get another Zered part. Louie is up there with Ishod for the best of his generation. Unlike the Vans video I'll actually watch this one more than once.
-
Nowww I see why the vans video was called “alright, ok”

Part also won me over. I know Louie was super good, and never disliked his skating, but in this footage he's skating with more aggression and flow than previous parts.
-
he's been doing that since his "west end" (I think) part that came out at least 3 years ago you guys are tripping
-
Wen dem one drop dey part fi brad cromer welcome fi dem team?
-
I kind of feel bad for Elijah, he spends all year dressing up and styling his hair for the SOTY season party, and then ten minutes after he shows up this hot chick just switch flips in and all eyes are on her.
-
Alexis just fucked shit up.
Did Louie nollie heel the same set Lindsey did in Dying To Live?
-
SAGEEEE COMING IN WITH THE CLIPS!!!!! 2020 just got instantly better!
I think I know who it was, but whoever filmed the Cromer and Zered clips was fucking blowing it with the zoom in.
-
This was really really good all around. Loved that bit of Baca and JJ we got. Alexis started things of fucking proper, and Louie just never disappoints
-
Alexis is at her best. I'm glad other people picked up on the Elissa nod too, that was cool.
Louie is definitely on that elite tip with Ishod, GT and a few others. He should have won SOTY back when he put his West End part out. Dude can do anything and make it look good and super fun too. It's kind of weird that some people in this thread are just now realizing he's not the little kid from Extremely Sorry anymore. As if he hasn't been steady crushing since that Volcom Holy Stokes part.
-
Alexis gave me goosebumps n shit, rewinded a few parts a couple times.. Baca fakie flip into the underpass tho

i'm still confused people are enjoying this more than that. they're both great, it just personally seems obvious that Alright, OK will likely be remembered more vividly in the scope of things. Louie even had that other CONS part that came out just 6 months prior.

bro your eyes must be fucked or you must enjoy filler shit and plagarism, like the 4th time a dude flips a table in a skate video.
alright, ok has skating that's on par, but sucks in every other aspect compared to this video. i can tell you i will never watch alright, ok before skating, but i will watch this cons video lots of times in the immediate future.
everything about the vans vid to me was whatever, don't mean what you mean with precise. as someone who worked and run shops for years, the vans thing was like their typical filler promo shit that they have you play on the floor. like half footage, half lifstyle fashion shots. who gives a fuck about this? they could have cut alright ok down to ten minutes and still have all the tricks. it's one of the worse edited videos of the year.
and i have nothing against those two dudes, i like their part, gilbies part is awesome especially, but hunt fucked up imo. the editing is shit and even if berle is like a muse to him or fat bill, no one really cares about him that much to have his footage full of him being all rebelpretty. it's literally a shop commercial that supposed to run in a loop, not a skatevideo imo.

i love greg hunts work in general, i was especially disappointed by the vans video because of that, it feels like he becomes more whatever and less good at what he's actually good at, like fat bill and ty evans, too, and even josh stewart, and more of a credit to a commercial. it just had no vibe or flow to me, and it took me two tries to watch the vans vid through. and as some others i watched the cons video right away after i was done. i don't know man. maybe i'm just sick of this typical vans style of skatevideo since propeller. the aesthetic is consistent, but to me it's just often too much orange county cool guy vibes.

While Chadourne's work could be seen as heavily influenced by Hunt's, I doubt it's influenced at all by any of this sterile Vans stuff he's been serving up in recent years. Massive Hunt fan over here too but I'm not going to sit here and deny that his best work is behind him. I really hope it mainly has to do with Vans having a massive hand in how stuff turns out and not Hunt himself, it would make sense after all.
The way Chadourne put together clips from everyone on the team here was seamless. How he weaved the Raemers clip in was really quite touching and tasteful also, in my opinion anyway...
And to the people saying this video won't be remembered in 6 months compared to the Vans one... I don't think you understand the impact that Alexis' part will have on the future. That part is monumental and it didn't need an over-used, safe bet song to try and tell me that.

That's because it is Koston.
Speaking of this trick though, the filmer blew it. They should instate a new rule at the Strobeck academy; no zooming in on manuals. I wanna see his upper body after he gets catapulted onto the top of the sombrero and holds the manual. Such an awesome trick.
Immediately before this clip, there are two clips, one of Louie trying to 5-0 a wavy curb and eating shit, then saying “5-0 will work”, then the next clip back smithing an electrical box in front of cops who enjoyed seeing the trick. I think there are a couple of other clips in this video where the audio references the next or previous clip. I didn’t rewatch the whole thing to find them yet, but I enjoy those moments quite a bit.
-
who is the guy in 5:49 trying that crazy 50.50??
Tom Remillard
-
Alexis makes me wanna skate! That is all.
-
Bless up to Serge Trudnowski. Him mak an appearance. An ras Brad Cromer’s lone clip bun fyah. Respect.
That's the second Serge sighting on video this year! Glad he's getting out there.
-
^He's in the Traffic video, as well!
Superb work from everyone involved. Alexis charging through New York City was such a treat, and the Breeders song (that you'll notice hadn't been used before) is a perfect match. Was kind of hoping either Quasi or Cons would evoke imminent domain over all Jake Johnson footage so we'd eventually have it all in once place, but his tricks in here were fantastic, particularly the switch wallride switch backside out. The Ben Raemers dedication was very natural and touching. Louie Lopez is really just cementing his spot as one of the greats at this point. Feels like his style gets more laid back as his trick selection gets crazier... backside 5-0 frontside flip out line was sick.
A lot of people picked up on the significance of the Challenger monument, but Elissa and Alexis both skated the same amphitheater gap in Miami, as well: the former kickflipped it in Baker2G, the latter switch flipped it in this part.
And to the people saying this video won't be remembered in 6 months compared to the Vans one... I don't think you understand the impact that Alexis' part will have on the future. That part is monumental and it didn't need an over-used, safe bet song to try and tell me that.
Exaxctly. Beyond the (apt) comparisons to Vans' forced marketing fiasco of the past week, Alexis's part (and ultimately, this moment in skateboarding) transcends marketing pushes, brands, the SOTY race, all that stuff. It's a big deal. There's no doubt in my mind that we'll be rewatching and discussing this part, and the impact it had, for years to come, the same way we discuss Elissa Steamer or Marisa Dal Santo.
-
Alexis dropped the best female part ever. I don't think that remotely a stretch. You watch her power then 90% of the other sponsored women it's going from Black and White to HD TV. A totally different tier.
-
Woah, Alexis takes some heavy slams! That heelflip was fucked; looked like she landed uphill too.
I forget that Manderson is one of my favorite skaters until I see him pop up in videos like this. Seems like he hasn't slowed down at all.
Louie is obviously one of the goats. I love the new colorways of his shoe, but I'm not sure how supportive they are.
Good shit all around.

So does JkJhnsn really bring that bar to the spot that he sort of front heel flipped over? Are we in the end times?

I live 30 minutes away from that spot and I can confirm, yes he brings the rail.

Marisa definitely still holds that title. I do think this is best part since hers, though.

I agree. This is the best street part by a girl ever. Alexis has one of the best styles in skateboarding out of anyone male or female.
-
incredible. so many of my favorite skaters doing incredible things. no more cute cops in skate videos though, c'mon. weird dissonance with the deliberate zoom onto cromer's huf blm shirt and minutes later louie fist bumping a police officer. what the fuck is that adding to this video?
-
God damn, if that's true about JJ, that's got me a little bummed, haha. I mean, why would that railing be there?
-
I think that's one of the best examples on what to do editing a video, I bet everyone there had more footage sitting around, but in the end what matters is that through the video every clip is memorable at some level.
The two parts + team montage formula seems to become more and more popular. Definetly well executed with this piece!
I think it's a great middle ground between releasing single thrasher parts or full lengths, you can give attention to whatever skaters have the full parts and still showcase the whole team, all in short enough time for this age's short attention span.

That's because it is Koston.
His signature annoying oooooh in the next clip confirms it.
Sick vid btw, great editing too. Louie and Alexis can do no wrong.
Holy shit it is him. I for sure thought it was some drunk dude chillin' at the spot with a bag of cheap beers. Which I guess it is. I stand corrected. That hat is hella ugly

Yeah, following the Tim and Henry Pack of Lies formula for Online releases is a great formula.

IMO it’s the same as bringing a trash can or barrier to a good bump. This version just looks better.

If it's in the general vicinity of the area, sure, but bringing it from home? Nah. I do agree this looks like a great spot though.

What a great video
Manderson noseslide to nosegrind revert on that curved ledge was so sick, looked like he didn't pop up at all
Louie tre flip over the rail, kind of over rotated, so sick
Alexis goat status
Good shit
But what the fuck Cons? Canceling skateshop accounts
Fuck You

Louie seriously has some lunatic skateboarding skills. Bs fiveo fs flip was totally unexpected.
-
Felt like a polar video, not that that’s a bad thing.
Most importantly got me pumped to skate, Alexis killed it. She’s on another level.
-
So stoked on Alexis skating, remaining valuable legacy of PHLWHL.
I cringe every time she slams. Don't like watching women slam.

"a film composed by"

I watch Alexis’ part at least 6 times this weekend.

He probably took whoever you saw the clips of there and was chilling. It’s next to a spot called the duck pond banks and when I saw Jake’s clips over it in “somewhere in Pennsylvania” I was really confused. So I stopped by last time I was in State College and no rail.

is there a picture of JJ wearing that shirt??

Hats off to Alexis. She's a power house. Did anyone else notice the homage to Elissa in Welcome To Hell at the Miami triangle spot? Great Edit all around.

Wow, Alexis is so sick.

more jj and brian d footage. More footage of Al!!

Of all the shoe brands Cons sure got the best team, marketing department, Ben Chadourne and good-looking shoes. Too bad they're fucking terrible to my feet.
So much good stuff to point out in this vid, but I want to mention Louie's heelflip over a bar to wallride (:o) and Al Davis driving a motorcycle!
-
Such a sick video. Alexis is one of my favorite skaters for sure. This almost made me wanna get cons for my next shoe.
Also lol LL has such a babyface

needs to be on the front page.
Louie SOTY

louie man

I LOVE YOU ALEXIS AND TREVOR!
Louie Lopez has great pants. Fuck it.
-
Just saw this on Thrasher's Youtube, how did I miss it before?! Wow, shit was gold! Alexis went in, one of my favorite parts of the year, so raw and committed. Louie is pure magic at this point. Incredible to see who he has become.
-
Definitely enjoyed that one.
Could have easily enjoyed a whole lot more of that too!
-
Mike Anderson! Always forget how good he is, need a new part from him and also from Zered of course.
-
bumping this for Alexis' part, feel like it finally lives up to her potential. Crazy how different her skating looks here compared to all the "inspirational" puff pieces over recent years, this looks like the real her.
