My work bestie is being transferred against his will for the next two months. Also, the two of us might not have jobs after February.

I’m sorry Grind King Rims, that sucks. My best friend got promoted against his will the other day (basically fill in or you’re fired). I can’t imagine that situation.

My dog needs ACL surgery and I hate that I had to make a GoFundMe for it but... here we are. If you have anything extra laying around, that would be nice but you don’t need to feel obligated. If there’s anything I know about the 15 years I’ve been on Slap, it’s that we’re a community of opinionated assholes that love our pets, so I’m sure most of you know where I’m coming from.

Anyway, here it is. Again, don’t feel obligated, please, but if you have the means, please consider helping out.

Shit.

On a related note, not too many black people named Thomas on account of a certain book. Just something I think about sometimes.

I'm on the job hunt myself pal. It makes you question your self worth and also feel a little threatened about your situation. It's normal to feel a little depressed. You just gotta stick by your guns, know what your strengths are and keep at it. Put the work in and you will get a better situation. It's a crap time of year for jobs too, but don't get discouraged and don't put it off, you'll find something soon pal. <3

Went to the doctors yesterday to get a check up on a problem ive been having with my finger....anyway they were updating my file and took my blood pressure....apparently it was dangerously high, she told me to relax and just keep an eye on it throughout the week, kinda hard to relax knowing it was so high and theres a history of high blood pressure problems in my family.
Its been a pretty high stress taxing week so im hoping thats all it was

Our main system is being upgraded tonight so me and one other guy are basically running most of the hospital on paper.
It's a logistical nightmare.

Won an ebay auction for Shadow of the Colossus on PS2, next day dude cancels because he "accidently sold the copy along with some other games". I was proper keen for it and got it at a well good price.

Its a lot of running around on horseback until the action but the giantslaying is gnarly. If i still had my homies copy i woulda just mailed it for free. Get bully by rockstar if you can find a copy its seriously one of the best games ever way better than any of the gtas for ps2 imo and its super underrated

Ack! I just had one done, took 5 visits to the dentist, most 2 hours long. My insurance covered the root canal, but they say I need a crown or else it will just chip away, and the crown is not covered - it's $1500. Fuuuuuck.

Wife’s car got burgled last night. Lost some cash, a blanket, a few N-95s, and my last goddamn pair of beat to shit Reynolds Lows with Nike Angus insoles.

Given what was stolen I’m inclined to believe the thief was in a bad way and am willing to forgive but the shoes and the insoles were my fucking favorites even if they were completely bald.

Currently looking for a job and have been working my ass off in the process. After a ton of work had a few interviews come through and one looked like it was panning out. Received the email today that they “won’t be moving forward”. Proceeded
to let depression and complete lack of self worth set in and felt like giving up on everything. got day drunk because I was tired of everything and fell asleep around 3 pm

My motivation has officially been hindered

I had a pretty bad break up right before covid hit, and the lockdowns have prevented me from seeing my kids.

I've always been a super involved dad and my kiddos are also like my best friends. We do everything together.

So its incredibly had to watch them suffer and miss me and I'm also feeling the effects of it big time.

Zoom calls are better than nothing but man, I just wanna do normal things again with my kids.

On top of that I dont even get to see them for Christmas, super depressing

I was about to crap on about having to work with a useless shite for my night shift tonight however the 3 posts above mine all make my non stokage seem super fucking trivial.

Betaphenylethylalamine, habby and Willie... I hope things look up.

Thanks! It's a tough go for all of us in many different ways, so I hope your doing well too

If covid has taught us anything,  it's to appreciate all the things we have.

So many others have it waaaay worse than me and it's very grounding

I actually got a copy on the Wii a few weeks ago but need to hook up the Wii.
It always intrigued me and I never got around to getting it originally.
