It's right by my apartment. There's also a tall flat handrail that I think Cab 50-50'd nearby, a fountain that Jason Adams skates in the first Black Label video and a rail with a kink that a lot of people skate in the last TMA video close by.

I found that shit out the hardway. I heard about the spot, hiked all over that place trying to find it. Then asked a group a trannies walking around if they knew of it and said it had been destroyed a few weeks before. I did find the bowls remains however.

The loading dock gap, the pillar to downhill and the lil bank are all in the last TMA video. Jesse Paez noseslides the rail on the smaller double set in Consolidated #1 and Gershon Moseley had a bunch of stuff down the bigger doubleset in some video. most of the spots in my posts are things I see when I ride my bike and are in videos or photos. Name them all and win yourself nothing.

I know of the hut that looks out on the bay. But last I was there there wasn't a jacuzzi.

Spot hunted around a new area. Didnt find much. Gave up and made a turn to go home and found these.

Generally i'm not a big fan of plazas, but this one looks very well done, with a natural looking mixture of things to skate and a good flow that most plazas lack.

Yeah but where I live most of the ground is this shitty tarmac with stones in that is almost unskateable and takes chunks out your wheels. Finding a decent spot free from it is rare =[

That spot is in the harbour of Paphos, Cyprus. I saw the spot before but it had water running through it (it's designed to be a water feature) but whoever runs it turned the water off and cleaned all the grime off of the ground and walls for whatever reason, hopefully they keep it this way.

That spot would not lend it self well to such a project. It's on a main downtown street and on Yale campus. I'd be in cuffs before the concrete dried.

Pretty much there's only a couple spots that I've posted that would be insta-bust: first those massive brown wooden banks, that's at an international passenger terminal for ships and is always crowded with people.
Late night though you could probably sneak in some runs for sure, session though probably not too long.
Also the McDonald's lobby, it's open 24 hours but it's in a fucking McDonald's. There's always people there and you definitely will get the boot, albeit politely. I took a few runs at it one time during the day and got in about 30 seconds worth. Plus, not even that good. The spot just looks rad basically.
Most of those other places though are pretty do-able.
I hate to play the dumb foreigner but for skating in Japan it's very convenient.
You can get away with a lot when you're not from there and you get caught skating some shit you're not supposed to be skating.
Security guards are almost always cool about it and often they almost seem as if they're genuinely sorry to bother you when kicking you out of places.
And cops are very chill also, never been fucked with for bum-rushing spots, just nicely asked to leave 95 percent of the time, the other 5 percent just have no expression and are just going about their job.
Oh and by all means it helps greatly to skate these kinds of places at night if possible, the daytime is always incredibly crowded and congested usually everywhere and a lot of places are simply impossible to get in any kind of tries during the day.

i didn't really like it. there's a big lip forming at the bottom of both qp's. could use some bondo. also, i dont get why they built it right there. they basically skate capped the high ledge.

I hit this when I have to visit family and the in-laws...when I can get away for half a day (like the 4th). Also close by are some ledges off a stair set I skated when I was 14ish too. As far as spots in south jersey, wildwood and ocean city have always been pretty dope, especially in the off seasons when they're not jam packed with guidos and meatheads. AC is always a blast, but most spots are insta-bust.

karma's really been on my side lately. this place is so sick, i can't believe it! it's only 4 miles from house so i'll pretty much be living there. newline is the fucking shit! i didn't even mess with the bowls at first because i'm so used to grindlines crappy bowls but man their bowls are so good and super fun to skate. the 6' bowl is easy to hit the lip on but still fun as fuck to carve. the street course design is amazing. i usually get maxed out at a park after a year and have a hard time finding new shit to mess with but this place seems like it could keep you rolling for years. even the down rails and ledges are assesible, usually you've only got the hammer time shit when it comes to hubbas and rails but they have tons of fun small shit to mess around on. the ledges are great and there's even some shit that confusing on how to skate but still rad like the red wedge i the picture above the pyramid. and eventhough it's kind of small it flows real well and was easy to skate with about 50 or so people skating. place is awesome and definitely worth checking out.
only negative i found was that they allow bikers.

there's two bowls, i didn't even skatet that one which is a skatepark of austin replica. that bowl was sick but the whole deep end was pretty much just craving for me and i get bored with that. if i can't take the slam then i'd rather not bother with it because i like trying tricks.
the smaller bowl there is more my speed, so sick. feels like bowl but skates like a 6' mini with one section with pool coping and tile and vert but probably only 8-9' in that section so not insanely gnarly, more like 80s backyard vert ramp gnarly.

Yeah, I think out of all the places in Texas, SAtown takes the cake ditchwise because there are so many good one here. Off the highways, behind businesses, and in every neighborhood for sure. And of course, the best, EZ7 and C-Fan, are close enough by. The angle iron on Galaxy 5 has been gone for years now, but there's like metal edging on the steps anyway, so they still grind well.

I went back to cedar park tonight and finally started to get the hang of it. To me the lines are kinda strange, and it isn't one of those hella easy to gnar from the get-go parks. Night time brings out the 14 year old ass-hole talented ccs types and a shitload of lame-ass others.

The 14 year old solution is full speed checking. I tend to refrain from doing it to the youngins because I am not trying to break anyones bones. But Last summer a few BMXers and bratty ass skate kids got tossed. Violence IS the answer, they learn quick.

haha no way. anyone that has been there and just tried to push it would tell you no matter how many people are behind it, its not moving. most or all of them have these hooks on them like a crane dropped them in. Im sure someone with a powerful truck with a winch could at least move most of them enough to make it skateable.

it's a little odd if you don't have a surplus of step up tricks but that's the beauty of it. i love all the circular lines and how you can link them together and i've really been getting into the wedge thingy.
i usually hit it up at 7am ish and that way no crowds, no 14 year old rock stars and no heat. but i'm old like that so it's no big deal for me to get there early.

I've been going sunday nights and it isn't that bad. I still have problems finding good lines but I usually stick to the tranny and the tallest twin curved ledge and rail. I was psyched cause last time I lipslid that tall curved ledge.

Yeah, it's pretty much perfect. Smooth run up and landing. Only downside is security which pops up every other minute. I'm not one for throwing myself down things, but the dude in the picture has some things planned for it.

For anyone near rio linda, sacramento, area by the high school theres these concrete benches that have been there since the 70's. They're wonderful to skate and not every joe skateboarder goes there. when i lived there it was a wonderful place for my active meditation.
I loved living there, yuba city sucks. you'd be lucky to find a clean slab of asphault to skate.

Moraine Valley in Palos Hills, Illinois.
I couldn't imagine anyone putting in the time and effort to make the ledges grindable considering the security presence on campus, but there's so much more to that spot than just a ledge.

long 4 set/block (hard to tell from photo because theres nothing to compare it to, but its like 6 foot from the bottom step to the top one). You can either skate it straight in the middle where theres a path of new white slabs, but you pretty much smack into the wall, or you can go over the corner and roll away down the pathway im standing on

Oh what the new concrete park at wycombe? Skated it a fair few times and know a lot of the locals btu theres no train links so i have to go on the bus which is long. You went to reading to skate? Some good street there. Never actually skate oxford but want to go summertown at some point
Nah i skated street in HW (years ago) and just went to reading to see friends and stuff (and the festival of course), havnt skated reading yet though, But i live in summertown so if you do decide you want to come to skate here shoot me a pm and we'll link up! there are some really nice spots in the center aswell

yep theres cutteslowe skatepark which you can see if you search my name in the post yourself skating thread, which is small but nice (mostly ledges and manny pads, with some hips) thats probably what you meant by summertown now that i think about it, iffley ramps which is just a mini with spine hump and volcano and a few little grimey ones that are still fun dotted arround in the burbs

My gf comes from Maidenhead so I've ended up lurking about a little around there. What I was struck by was the abject lack of skateshops; where do you have to go to to get stuff? Also is there anything else of note to skate in Maidenhead?

That spot is still there. It is just all knobbed. You can skate the manual pad still and grind in between the blocks. It is at 16th and Wisconsin.
Edit: Was just glancing at this thread and saw this old comment of mine. Thought I would give an update if someone is planning on going here. It is now 100% gone. No more. Finished. :-[

Yeah, I have had a really bad experience with this in Mexico City. Skated some major city monument and had to pay the cops $100. The problem with monuments is they are often dedicated to dead people... that alive people really care about.

That's a Lenin monument, a relict from when belarus was part of the USSR.
i don't think the locals care about you skating it since they most likely would want to blow it up anyway.
these monuments are all over eastern europe. you could easily produce a full length video featuring just skateboarding on lenin monuments.

Was just going to post the exact same thing! Haha that area is amazing (and boring for anything but skateboarding) - even though they fucked up some of the spots, the area is still some of the sickest places I have ever been skateboard-wise.

is this a private spot? As in if I find it I can skate it, or is it on someones property that keeps an eye on it? A friend of mine went up to skate an infamous abandoned pool/house foundation diy spot in malibu and there was a fucking security guard there to let only the land owners friends skate, no strangers. sounded like a bizarre scene out of machotaildrop.

My buddies and I were talking about this spot last night. So far, nobody has taken an ollie up the cement benches/barriers and over the five. It's a lot harder to skate now because tables and chairs were installed right in front of the cement benches. Definitely more difficult to thread the needle.
Silent Mike also floats this crazy gap right next to the blocks as his opening trick in CSFU [@ 25:08]. He pops over a handrail, past a fat planter gap, and lands right in front of the blocks.

You might be able to hit temple square at night if the skater landed everything first try. However, one of my friends got ninja-kicked off his bike by security just for riding it through the grounds, so watch out for Brigham's Destroying Angels.
