this is weird.  the website partners with bands, and sets up a system where you buy shares in their next record. you spend $25 you get the record when it's completed, you spend $5000 you get an executive producer credit. 

supposedly there is the possibility of getting a return on your investment, but i couldn't find out much about that.

anyway, the music industry is fucked.  while the idea of fans financing and even owning part of their favorite groups' records is kinda cool, this seems to be another way of squeezing out some profitability from a dying industry.
