This is seriously low budget but I'm gonna give it a shot.

i posted it trying to be funny but when i actually said it out loud, it really didn't sound that bad.
able skates, able skateboards, able wood, etc.
theres tons of play on words and graphics ideas for the word able too.
i'd post them but not until i get my commission check from this able character. ;D

Thanks for the help and suggestions! It never occured to me to call it "able" skates or whatever. I'm still kind of on the fence about it though. Able is my beat making name and I may be splitting the cost of this with another musician (triclops). That might be kinda weird. hmmm?

here's an update on my low budget endeavor:
I got my blanks in the mail from ebay. Made my stencil. Sprayed a few decks. learning as I go.

even if some of the graphics might end up kinda jacked. These things will sell on price alone.($30 with grip) I'm pretty excited. If I can't sell them... fuck it! I'm skating them. Thanks for your help and suggestions SLAP peoples

stencilrevolution always has great stencils you can get... then again their site is almost always down... but still a great source... get yo shit togetha on those stencils... a suggestion if you will be making a stencil for more than one use... use a thin sheet of plastic like something froma binder or something that can be cut easily but won't get shitty after the third use....

not a problem dude.. there are tons of tutorials of how to turn an image into something that can be stenciled... typically 2-3 layer stencils look the best as far as appearances go with not too much difficulty in making them.. you can use photoshop or i always used 'photofiltre' and you can use "duotone" to create it as a 2 layer image with black and white... stencilrevolution ahs some good tutorials then again you can always use the 'googler' and find some...

or you could call it Message boards. You wouldn't ever have a problem coming up with graphics. Just use a use a screen shot of every thread.

not only a hilarious idea... you could find some really funny ass posts i'm sure.. but the legality of taking that off those message boards would be the trick.

Making a stencil is not hard. To make an image into black and white, convert it to a monochrome bitmap file in MS Paint. Then use the erase tool to make islands, etc.

and if you need a cheap screen for a simple between the trucks logo, go down to hobby lobby. find a screen, peel the sticker off, and replace it with one that has a cheaper price. then all you need is a squeegee and ink, and thats not too pricey at all. p.s. - try to stay away from ebay blanks. i hear they are the shittiest that shit could be.
