skateboarding robot
« on: October 07, 2021, 07:42:49 PM »
i just got this headline on my phone about a robot that could skate. the video it sent me to is very underwhelming (as you would kind of expect) but i do enjoy the lugani approach or whatever you call it, the ski stance skating that the little robot does.

https://abc7news.com/video/embed/?pid=11094601

guess i'm wondering how good at skateboarding will robots get? will we ever see a robot do a full part? would skating in an exoskeleton robo-suit thing be of any interest?

fuck it, while i'm at it - robots/tech aside, how much better can skateboarding even get? i don't know that i need it to be any "better" than it already is.

Unfortunately the type of people skating electric boards are the same people who have no business going any faster than 10mph on a skateboard let alone 30 or fucking 70 jesus christ

Lol. For the record tho I think Shane is great. His perfection can be read as robotic.

What was the robot nickname people used to call him on here I forgot

nothing's been the since same
