Goddamn we got everyone shitting on Lucien for taking LVs money but got a gang of dudes up in here wearing suits on flights what the hell is happening.

Spend $500 in a suit, and live life as a grownup, or spend $1200 on some puffy sneakers and look like a 9 year old on their way to basketball practice.

Thinking that wearing a suit makes you "grown-up" is very immature.

there's gotta be some delusional kind of script in a buch of people?
like they hope to be picked up during flight and join the mile high club?
or maybe they want to look better than the personnel?

I haven't flown in awhile but I usually just dress as I normally do because my clothes are reasonably comfortable?

Not grown up, but you‘ll always be dressed appropiate
for any occasion if you wear a suit.

It’s also cuz of buddy passes/staff tickets.

They’re cheap tickets that you can get off someone you know that works in the airlines. Usually you can get them 90-50% off but you’re required to dress business casual and you’re pretty much a chance passenger. Once you’re in the airport you have to wait for your name to pop on the screen if you’re onloaded or offloaded. It depends if the plane as space or not. If it has space, then you’re onloaded vice versa.

I do it all for my flights cuz the ticket is very cheap but it sucks ass. I usually do it for long flights like Doha to Manila and I fly with Qatar Airways

Tell that to the leather daddy convention.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

This is actually helpful information as I wear much synthetic material, often to the airport. Thanks!

I used to travel 2-3 weeks a month for work.  We wore suits for work.  I traveled with my boss and clients.  My go to was brown J. Crew cords (My favorite pants at the time). , a nice untucked button down, and Clarks desert boots. Sometimes a sport coat if I was going to need one during the trip. Everyone went pretty casual when traveling.
