Finally what i've been waiting for, another shoe, just like another shoe - stoked they were just marking down the Rowelys for looking just like the Trilljo's (or however he spells it) in the local skateshop, but i wasn't feeling Vans now i can get a Van's shoe from a more "core" skate company

koston can do both...
he's done them in the es games of skate
he only did one normal and it was by luck ... those are the only tricks he has trouble with.

I completely don't get it. What is so special about that clip. Even I could do most of the tricks in that and early grab 540 on mini's are wack (todd falcon anyone?).

The clip was about the quality of footage. My friend who films was freaking out about it, saying how he's selling his VX100 and his PD150 so he could buy the camera Ty used to shoot that footage. I don't know much about video cameras but it was funny listening to him go off about this one.

It looks almost like 16mm, and you can just adjust how many frames it takes in a second.

In 10 years time. Those cams cost about $6000 and the lens alone (if I'm not mistaken) something like $2-3000 for a high end fisheye with no vignetting. Then you'll be looking at a minimum 2-4Tb of storage (2-4000Gb), and hardware accleration for editing full size HD footage and hopefully by then we'll all have shiney new HD TVs.

when filmers and companies are spending huge amounts on plane tickets hotels and what not do you think $6000 for a camera is all that much in the grand scheme of things. not really I would suggest. photographers equipment costs a bomb and that doesnt slow them down much. a hasselblad with several lenses a bunch of flash gear is going to cost you well over $10 000. tools of the trade.

i hope ty evens uses his cameras right and doesnt ruin the lakai video......id be so bummed if it was shot in 24fps like the stereo sections in 411....i hate that shit so much...shit doesnt have to be insane quality...i dont like the feeling of all that high tech shit...although this vid in particular looked sick i dont think a whole video should be shot like that quite yet..

I donīt know what itīs like in the US, but in europe most skaters film with this Sonycam that costs here about 2-3000$...plus the fisheye is at least 1000$. I think if oyu can afford that, why not wait a little and save a little more money to buy that HDshit? Donīt think itīs a question of money, honestly...

Thats interesting, companies that make skatefilms. So are girl, lakai, etc, any company, especially the big ones,film production companies, that make skateboards to sell after the video comes out? Much like Disney will make action figures to promote a movie.
It's kind of a weird way to look at skateboard companies.
