alright tuning back in after skating the dunk elite hi's for an hour or so....
pros:
- i feel cool as the cats pajamas. they look super weird the first time you put them on, but they kinda grow on you after a little bit.
- they flick alright. nothing to write home about, but decent for a cupsole shoe.
- the whole "i need to get used to it" thing is kinda a myth, just put the damn shoe on and go skate. like i said before, feels like you're just wearing ankle braces on both ankles, curse and a blessing.
cons:
- no padding really on the shoe. if your board goes flying and smacks your foot prepare for an ouch.
- no padding under the shoe either. swap out the insole for sure. but just skating flat ground my foot would hit the floor and i would cringe a little bit.
- grip was not super great. it is just barely above freezing here but my foot kept sliding around my grip when i would set up for tricks.
- definitely wayyyyyyy tight on my foot. i went true to size on these and while i can get my foot in there, and i can skate them, but probably would have been chiller if i went a half size up.
- my girlfriend thinks they are ugly and won't stop reminding me about it.
i'll be back with more feedback i'm sure...
i gotta get myself another pair of PF flyers. those were so much better.
