Yea you don't need them unless you have some really big wheels or something (preventing wheel bite)

Honestly, the distance your tail is from the ground will effect your pop. If you tail was 1/8" from the ground you wouldn't be able to pop it very high right?

I just noticed this phenomena when going from old ass wheels that were probably down in the 35mm range to some new 53's

Risers ya dont really need but I do suggest some rubbery ass shock pads to cushion the impact from your landing big shit.

Want more pop?  Ride a 55mm wheel

No, I don't think you need them. I can't think of any (street) pro's that use them either, I haven't bothered with risers for years.

risers are your friend

soft risers on loose trucks? thank you very much

increased wheel/deck distance, more 'pop', somewhat shock absorbant, and they leave a cool little pattern on your deck once you take your trucks off.

if nothing else, get them for some sort of placebo affect
