hey everybody,
thanks to those of you guys who made it out! i was super stoked at the chance to do that. it was cool to write such a big piece for a non-skate
audience and look at our culture/world more analytically. i'm thinking i might take the text and the photos and make an article out of it- the thing is loooong, like 7500 words + 60 photos and a video, but if people are interested i may go ahead and do it... yeah? the Exploratorium people said they were trying to record my talk but i'm not sure if it happened. my wife recorded most of it on her iphone though! haha.

The event was sick! I'd have to say the highlight was after Busenitz did that nose manual up and over on that see saw ledge one of the commentators paused and asked "...was that a noseslide?"

Whiteley's talk was really good!  I think everyone here will really enjoy it, and I think it's one of those things that people who don't skateboard should really hear as well.
