-
the dream of 2012 is alive in San Diego
-
How many of these dudes will be addicted to painkillers after filming for this video?
-
johnno has a deathwish
the only rewatchable part
anybody getting paid for this shit?
-
Y love how Jaime can make a 2004 video in 2021
-
Could have had more rails less hip hop and fewer manuals but solid.
-
Adam's part was sick and Jonno was rad too but that double GnR ender - especially the second part - was too much. I swear at least one of my high school dances ended on the same two songs.
-
Brandon Burleigh!
-
The Chris Cole slo-mo laugh for Vinny Dalfio intro was hilarious. That water looked slimy af
-
Weird how some clips had no audio? Could've dubbed something over at least. I liked the video overall though. Probably because I'm a sucker for nicely filmed vx fisheye clips.
-
Solid video in my opinion. much better than expected.
-
Was that a crooked grind down a loading dock rail by adam @ 11:57? In 2021? Am I missing something?
-

2004? His editing style has basically been the same since Welcome to Hell, which was released like 9 years prior to 2004.
-
I actually really enjoy that zero has kept their same image alive for ever. They have a special place in skateboarding to me.
Video was sick. No idea how you back 180 out of a round rail going that fast.
-
That was wild
-
This was put out by Jamie Thomas, right? Same Jamie Thomas known for having impossibly high standards for his videos? Just want to make sure that this video containing tons of weak/illegal tricks, laughably sketchy landings, and absolutely butchered filming, was indeed put out by that same Jamie Thomas.
-
reggie, jonno and brandon were sick. that ender with the gnr was too much as already mentioned.
-
There was a time a while back when I'd be stoked on this, but, for the most part I can't really get into this type of skating anymore. Reggie was cool though.
-
Jamie Thomas, the same guy who knocked back 3 minutes of Dennis Durrant footage because it wasn't Black Box standard is giving his filmer who does circus tricks a part in a full length.
Is Jamie trolling?
-
I enjoyed the guy who had a barking dog heard in every shot. I also enjoyed that you could hear his dog barking throughout the entire video. Rad that they have a mascot like that. It's a metaphoric Jamie on every session demanding they land their tricks.

Permission to rip? - ARF

I remember reading somewhere that Kirchart tried to skate to that part of November Rain but couldn’t get the rights. Can’t remember which video it was.
I guess if you’re going to use a song that Kirchart wanted you have to skate like Kanaan.
-
pretty good, id rate this fent bag a 7-8

I think @Francis Xavier was at the premier. If you actually did attend Francis, was the dog there? If so, did it bark it all or get lots of love after the premier?

it was for sight unseen. he then tried to use pink floyd who also wouldn’t give the rights so, moody blues was chosen which i definitely think worked out in his favor.

Oh there were a few dogs there and one (2?) on stage. It was a good doggy that barked at the hammers and bangers, solid mascot for Zero

Didn’t the old Emerica site (message board days) post the “Wish you were here” edit?
-
Why the fuck was Dylan Jaeb on this company? Imagine that VX footage he just dropped being in this edit :o
-
would be 60 seconds with no slomo
-
turn Reggie and Adam pro
let fallen tank already
music/edit felt like I was on painkillers but the dreary part sans euphoria
still, I want to support this and hope they make physical copies
-
Skating in white overalls to the Big Little Lies song, eh?
-
Nothing says a good time like an intro filled with slams - the one that Reggie took at 1:30 looks bad, knees aren't supposed to absorb impact that way.
Edit: 1st shared part with Reggie, Gustavo and Brandon was pretty nuts
-
What is up with Reggies lower body? The knees buckle and touch each time he lands, it's so distracting I forget the trick he just did.
-
Wimer footy :D
-
The video was sick. Jamie kept it with the classic Zero formula even using a Creedence song and shit. Way better than Damn it All. The only thing I thought was a bit excessive was all the slams, I know it's part of the formula but he could have cut them down a bit.
-
I liked all the Reggie footy, he just looks sick!
Brandon Burleigh had the best part.
-
Pretty good, old Zero vibes. 19 minutes in got very bored though and skimmed through the rest of it, couldn't take the music from then on out either. As much as I liked the old Zero stuff back in the day, this type of footage doesn't get me in the mood for skating anymore.
-
My stage name is Gregory Gnarleigh.
-
Okay, in bed with a cold and I guess I’ll watch a Zero full-length in 2021. I think I didn’t even watch Cold War in full.
-
video was ok, i guess. but i don't know … all this "macho-esque" self destruction is getting extremely stale (probably has gotten stale years ago). Nothing wrong with gnarly skating and slams, but the way Zero does it, makes me really sleepy. It is all way too serious....
At least it was not all just handrails and stairs
-
At least the early grab guy did something different, otherwise it would be really stale. But I didn't finished the video. Also the slams where too much for me. I'm not getting hyped by it anymore.

Macho skateboarders with their serious tricks.
-
awesome to see them go this route and continue to carve out their own lane. would love to see them go full Palace and add VHS filters in post or film with VHS to make it extra grimey. I hope their next video is also like this.
-
Reggie, Burly and Wimer were sick.
Video confirmed I know nothing about Zero anymore, but could tell it was a Zero video. Lots of Dying to Live throwback tricks/spots. Appreciated the old guard CCR montage.
Burleigh had Big John/AVE vibes. He won't stay long.
-
I loved it and want to buy a zero tee because I am all about nostalgia
by the end the slams were like watching Am Dram or something it was so over the top but in a really good way. If anyone but Jamie edited it I would say it was a perfect satire of the 2000's and layered with irony...
-
Vinny of Soaps?
Rofl that "shoe grind" was fucking awesome.
Edit: his whole part was rad

Really? Just watching it now and he seems like the token trendy wallride/early grab guy that every team has had to have since 2013, with the exception of the handplants, those were fucking nuts.
-
Just finished the video-
Reggie, Burleigh, and Adam fucking killed it
Forrest's nollie back 3 heel was sick.
loved the CCR montage.
Did we really need pretty much a whole song's worth of bails? Incredibly boring.
Kanaan killed it too but gahdamn that part was corny (editing/song)

he's also their filmer, so that could've had something to do with giving him a part.

I think it’s about time that Jamie lets Zero die already.

I think it’s about time that Jamie lets Zero die already.
This reminded me of the rumour I read on here that he turned down 5 million for the company. Someone please correct me if that’s false or I got the numbers mixed up. If that’s true then lmao.
-
i fucking loved it.
10/10 will watch again

someday there wont be big enough rails to keep this competition going, shit is nuts.
liked it more that I wouldve expected

'Jamie Thomas's Big Little Lies' would've been such a better video name.

Die Already would be a great name for the next Zero video
Burleigh is about to blow up after this, that was some top notch stuff there. Always nice to see someone grind over a bridge.
-
I felt so bad watching the intro.I hope these guys can still walk at 40.

Kanaan Dern = Paul Machnau's kid
-
i love reggie kelly so much. weird ass style. digging it
-
I watched hoping Zero was doing well enough to buy the rights to Judas Priest “Pain Killer”, which would’ve been so awesome. That dude’s all-grab part was 0/10 and disrespectful.
-
C’mon Jamie, not every part needs some drawn out classic rock slow jam
-
I liked it and I'm glad there were slams. There ate not enough slams in modern skatevideos.
-
C’mon Jamie, not every part needs some drawn out classic rock slow jam
He's legally obligated to have a 60/70 rock jam for every Zero video.
-
didn’t Heath Kirchart wanted to skate to that last final part of the GNR song 20 years ago for sight unseen?
Too much slow mo and can’t relate to this type of skating anymore, thanks
-
nice video
you guys think if jamie filmed it in hd it would have more appeal to the public?
-
When I realized Forest was doing a Nollie 3 heel down that set, halfway through I went “that was...” and before I could say sick/awesome/fucked up, my brain finished by saying “...filmed so fucking bad”
-

It seems he has femoral deformity, that's why his knees turn inward so drastically. Can't be good for his body in the long run.
-
Zero would be on Baker status if they put some black skaters before.
Nice video.
-
I loved it! Can I relate to this type of skating? Not at all. But that's kinda what made it sick for me. It was super fun to watch and was gnarly as hell. I enjoyed it and will most def watch again. Nice to Zero alive and well.
-
Except for the grab part I liked it. No bullshit rail chomping. Gnarly. Kanaan Dern can take a slam. November Rain solo rules.
-
stillcant get past patience. what a terrible choice. dudes part coulda been fuckin rad if it wasnt so overly dramatised.
-
The thing about the Zero team is since they’re probably not getting paid you know they’re just out here doing it because they want to. Skating’s been sanitized over the last decade+ Where everything seems perfect that seeing so many slams was refreshing.
Never seen a Zero video I didn’t like. Song choice was spot on, even gave us what we expect with the CCR song. Haven’t heard a Dead Moon song in a minute.
Respect to dude who did nothing but plants and early grabs. Not that I liked it but just that he did a whole part of those in 2021 is wild.
Adam deserves a board by now.
-
I liked it a lot. I think the last part could've been done in full slow motion with just one GnR song, but even still it was all cool to watch. Seeing Forrest Edwards in the mix was a fun bonus and Chris Wimer always stands out. The Dead Moon intro song fit well.
-
I loved it. I love every zero video though. It's cool that zero dudes put their body on the line for no other reason than they like getting gnarly. Also cool of Jamie to make a video showcasing all the ams. Brandon and Kanaan had the best parts obviously. Brandon's boardslide down the hubba and long ass rail were nuts. Would've been cool if he landed the noseblunt down the Walnut rail. Can't wait for their next video with all the pros. Chris Wimer should be turning pro when his emerica part comes out and will probably end the next video.
-
I was digging the video until the all grabs part.
I skipped around after that.
-
That was the filmer. Besides that part it's a sick video.

You just watched an AM video, and Chris Wimer wasn't in it. He's been pro for 3 years.
-
Haha my comments have been fried lately. Can't believe I didn't remember that, he's one of my favorites.
-

Huh?

Agree with this. Not my cup of tea but glad he is not trying to copy what the cool kids are doing.

You know those bands that make like 3-4 really good albums and then still go on to make 6 more albums and they're not necessarily bad, but they're definitely not good? Like the band itself almost turns into some sort of tribute band of itself trying it's hardest to write songs and albums that sound like themselves? And based on that fact alone the albums are actually pretty terrible because they're such a watered down version of what they once did? You guys all know bands like that.
-
Will re-watch. Dug it!
-
I think it’s time to fully retire the VX. Footage looked like it had a healthy layer of soap scum on the lens. Time to move on/.
-
I liked all the Reggie footy, he just looks sick!
Brandon Burleigh had the best part.
Burleigh stole the show for me too, he had the tricks, the style and that greased back hair. He just fits the Zero image so well!

Unfortunately, it seems that bands can only escape this fate if it comes to a tragic end before.

Skate brands are kinda like comedy tv shows. Often awkward first season, figure out what works and what doesn't in season two, peak season three. Then New cast and new writers trying to recreate what they had and only newbies or die hard fans keep watching.
Then there's brands like Santa Cruz that's like SNL. It just goes on forever constantly changing cast and nobody really ever watched it.
